It's a Latin grammatical form, essentially one uses the dative case to indicate a perspective, in a way English has it to. The dative case is the ending of a noun in Latin that receives some thing that is given like 'marcus filio gallum donat' for 'Marcus gives to [his] son a rooster'

And in the reverse case you say 'Filio gallus bonus est' for 'To [his] son, the rooster is beautiful'. If the son were to give it would be 'Filius donat', Latin has a case system, the ending of the word changes to mark the grammatical function making word order not as important as in English. But the cases also have all kinds of other uses like this one.

Essentially why a lot of Latin track titles are just bad grammar, because they ignore the case system and just use a dictionary, often producing highly ingrammatical and absurd Latin akin to zero wing. There was a user here once who commented on the correct use of my dativus auctoris, and that it was a rare feat on anime boards these days.
