We already have: Mighty Wind, two versions of EMIYA, two or three versions of Sword of Promised Victory, etc Apart from most of servants getting their own theme no need to invent new themes if we already have well-fitting music. THat would only ruin the work. She could create new non-combat music. |

Just watch them use Mighty Wind in every battle... I'm down for reusing the old tracks (EMIYA >>>>>> everything else), but it would be nice to have new 'fresh' ones. (Also I want more of Yuki's music goodness, I don't think SAO II's OST will be enough :3 ) |

I find Yuki Kaijura TREMENDOUSLY overrated and far from the best composer out there but will be fine with her composing the OST if it's to be because I think she fits and has become a key part of the adaptations by ufoTABLE. I think she's probably the odds on bet just because of Aniplex's love for her in general and reasons of continuity though. Pandarenboy said: Can't remember a single sountrack from F/Z so doesn't matter in any way to me. I think I might remember a couple, but there's an equally good chance they came from SAO. A lot of her music aside from the Kara no Kyokai soundtrack where she gets the atmosphere thing down quite will is of what I like to call the generic choral chant variety. I prefer the more Celtic sounding stuff of hers or again the kind of atmospheric stuff from Kara no Kyokai. |

As for being the best...maybe not the best but definitely a lot better than most out there. The other "best composer" that Kajiura haters keep praising, Kenji Kawai, didnt create anything worth of that title in the old FSNs.And the only thing he had to do was to "improve" an already great OST from a then amauteur doujin cicle. Meanwhile, as far as Type Moon+ufotable adaptations are concerned , Kajiura has done an excellent job.The overuse of certain tracks in FZ are the director's fault not of the composer. |

The site aims to guest companies and to participate in its "town ★ Asobi" can be a global presence of Kyushu, just off Kitakyushu Kokura Station, "the city ★ Asobi Cafe" is open from May 17th! Fai said: no but seriously every type moon work has certain style of ost for action - Fate/Zero is overly-fatalistic because the conclusion is pre-set from the start. - KnK is mystical, with Budhism motifs, with sense of wonder through twisted reality, rebuilding your self etc. Fate/Zero type of kalafina work would outright not fit FSN thematics in the opening. Because composers never try to match their work with the atmosphere of the series they work on... Pretty sure that the difference you showed ,if it even exists, between FZ and KnK, shows that they can create different styles. I assume you are asking Fai.... But anyway both have their good points. Whether they use the originals, some remix or entirely new ost I dont care as long as it matches the scene and makes it awesome.Well if I had to chose I would go with originals. Kirei vs Kiritsugu didnt use Emiya Time Alter Version, and that was sad, but it was still epic. |

The question was directed to both since you said only VN readers would care :p But mostly Fai because he's the one most opposed to changing the OST. Agreed about the fight. She's still great at what it does, but I do not want "EMIYA - Kajiura Yuki version". Whatever her involvement is she has to create NEW Music instead of remixing VN stuff. If VN stuff has to be used, it has to be used with fitting faithfulness, as in, how Prisma Illya OST did t. You might find something if you go through every track she's done after trc. But seriously, that means nothing if she's involved in the remake. She might make an all new OST in her usual style, or try to 'fit' with the theme of F/SN, or remix old tracks with her style, or... etc. Even if she almost always uses the same style, what you're saying is a very reasonable assumption, but not a fact. Who knows, the OST might blow your mind :p Fai said: Botato said: I don't think that's enough to convince Fai. But I have to ask, do you want the VN's tracks because they fit, and believe that they can't make equally fitting music? Or because you're used to the scenes with those particular tracks? Because I honestly do not believe that, if its Kajiura Yuki, her versions would be better and not inferior, thematically-different. I'd rather she create something new and original than try to remix something that is not her style. You have little faith then :P I honestly think she can pull it off, but who knows. |

Botato said: I may be biased here, because I like choir, but I think it would make it more epic than take away the epicness. And that one doesn't sound too bad : Choruses fit "oh my god pompei is about to be flattened by a volcano" type of epic. NOT "I love swords, let's recreate that space battle from battlestar galactica with them in the sky while we fight on the ground and I keep asking you thoroughly badass rhetorical questions about sword amounts" type of epic. I could see it be used in the darker moments heart scene, orphan discovery, kirei monologues of evil, caster's death, realization what shinji is doing to the school, Gil's out-of-nowhere appearances, sakura's temper tantrums, Archer throwing around his backstory exposition, etc FSN is a "rebuild from the tragedy" kind of path, not a fatalistic medieval legend. . |

But then it's still based mostly on subjective opinions. Also, I can understand saying a F/0 like OST not fitting, but not saying the composer herself is unfit. I mean, not all her tracks are fatalistic like that. Madoka's OST for example had a better variety than F/0. |

Madoka's both the ost and the narrative is fatalistic as fuck(considering its basically Faust the Anime mixed with Heavenly Comedy) up until the moment of the redemption |
