| that's more my fault, since it was white before... my example screenshot had 0,0,0 for black text color. You can change it back to 255 255 255 of course, but i wasn't sure the contrast was enough. I could help you make a scripted sig if you'd like, TMFA, since your sig is quite awesome and would look nice with matching fonts. |

| Hi again everyone-I haven't been working on my sig all this time. That would be just lame. if I had with how far I've gotten. I don't know if you guys remember me. I've been sick, so not so active-it gets tiresome being sick so much. But anyway. I re-cut my sig. And to be sure it fit right, I used the Photomerge-Panorama in my Adobe Photoshop to be sure I cut it right and it all fit-it looked seemless when I checked it there. And I had used a picture of my updates like Saka suggested too, when cutting it all. But it still won't fit for some reason. It's not fitting right at all. I've checked it all and re checked it so many times. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It's frustrating. I would check it's view in Fire Fox... but for some reason I can't log onto this website in my fire fox. It's all screwed up so badly and my settings can't seem to be fixed. I can log into some things in FF and not in IE and I can log into other things in IE and not in FF like this site and no matter what I do there I can't get it so it'll work on either one. I'm certified as a computer operator and yet I can't fix this problem, so I don't know if maybe it looks ok in FF or not. <removed> Edit after looking at posted message: Now that I put it here, it also looks better than it does in my sig when I put it there, when I did that-Most of Flay's face is on the other side of she and Kira..... Maybe it's the images I used? Could I have done something wrong when making the sig itself? I just don't know. Thanks in advance for any help you can all offer me. I'm at a loss. | eh... I can't really see it as there's just a bunch of "This picture has been moved or deleted"... but the usual problems are that either the slice for mal background is not exactly the same (260x99px in your case, and MAL will crop it to that if bigger/smaller), or the images themselves don't fit into rows. btw, photomerge won't help a lot, because it will overlap the images even if they're sliced wrongly. It's probably one of the above problems, though. |

I'll try making a different sig and then cutting that one and seeing if it works better. Now I gotta see what Picturetrails doing with my pics. That's annoying, everything looked normal when I left it here. I'n sure I cut it right... I'll have to see what I can do. Maybe when I fix the picture trail it'll be better. Thanks. |

| Ok, there, I fixxed it so it should show now. No idea why it said they'd been deleted. They were still there, My problem is that white line between the top section and the 3rd section(The one with my 5 currently watched Anime).... I just need to know if it looks like it's messed up to you guys or if it looks ok in your fire fox since I can't get my Fire fox to let me log in on MAL. I'll try cutting it all again I guess ti see if I can fix it. Thanks. |

| glad you figured it out. ;) try using this code instead. it contains a return to fix display in internet explorer and links the whole sig instead of just the center. Do I need only one line if it's under a Spoiler tag? If not, is there a limit on the lines if it IS under a spoiler tag? Thanks again for your help. |

| 600x140px is a firm limit and if you exceed it, forum mods will eventually see it and edit/remove your signature. it's fine to have a 140px sig with a spoiler under it containing the rest... at least I have seen others doing this without being harassed by mods about it. Just make sure that the total filesize of all images and such does not exceed 300kb. If you want to read the full rules, you can check out the Forum Rules and Guidelines board... http://myanimelist.net/forum/index.php?board=14 General Forum Guidelines said: Section IV: Signature Restrictions 16. Total sizes of forum signatures should be no larger than 600px wide by 110px tall (and maybe one line of text). | Thanks. I read them... but I'm sick most of the time. So it may not have all stuck. Then when I went looking for them again, I kinda got lost wandering tin the forums. I knew about the 600px by 140px rules.... seems like I need to do something about my sigs size. When I first set it up, I set it to be those size guide lines. but now it's readong 148px from top to bottom... no idea why that is. I'll put those forums on my watched list so I won't lose it again. You'll need to extend the left, center, and right slices down by 1px and reslice. assuming you're using photoshop, you can use the slice select tool and double click on the slice.... it'll pop up a properties dialogue and you can enter the dimensions manually. |

| Thanks for this tutorial. I made this new sig today but had a HELL of a time with the slicing, especially when it came to the MAL update part. I couldn't get the pieces to upload and align correctly with the border around the update part (I must have sliced and uploaded this image about 15 times!) but it would only align properly without the border. But after reading this tutorial and the tips within I finally got it to work correctly so thanks again people! :) |

| Hey guys. I did this sig for Sotoriel and I'm fairly sure I sliced it correctly but she's having trouble fitting it together. The top piece doesn't fi onto the rest right and I've tried helping her, but it hasn't worked. I checked it on my end. It all fit just fine for me. I asked her to check and make sure there were no spaces. She told me she didn't find any. I don't know if she's asked anyone else here for help with it. But I'd kinda like to know if I did something wrong in slicing it, or what. I was reeeeealy careful when I sliced it.      ~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~  Thanks in advance for any help! |

| Just assemble it yourself and tell her to quote your post and copy and paste that code, replacing the middle piece with the custom sig piece. That's the best way to do it. |

| Looking good. Using guides in photoshop with snap turned on helps. Also you can manually edit your slices to be dead on. Just a bit of adding and subtracting and you can always figure out what your dimensions are supposed to be. ^^ |

| Thank you so much!! And i was wondering if there was a way to make it so i could fit only two updates on my sig.. Like change the font size or something.. Its too small to fit in the bars, so both of them only go in one of them. |

| the font cannot be changed on a sliced sig like that.... it's possible if you use the RSS feeds on your profile and host a signature script on your own site (then you can use any font), but the learning curve is pretty high and I'm not sure I'd be able to help much after today. Maybe someone else could help you out, or you can poke at the tutorials if you've got a lot of free time. If you just want me to reduce it to two updates, I could do that and reslice it.... or you could ask the person who made it to adjust the boxes in the original so the updates fit better. |
