Note that the default URLs for nyaa.se have filter=2 in them, which filters the results by "Trusted only". So, searching for "Yuusha" in Taiga is the equivalent of this, and not this. Of course, you can always change the URLs from Settings → Torrents → Discovery.

It's not that, I searched with the filter, originally the results are in the xml, but Taiga doesn't show it.

Here's what I get when I search for "Yuusha" with filter=0: http://i.imgur.com/Vb7Q4di.png
With filter=2, the feed.xml still has 100 items and all of them are displayed in Taiga for me.

Can you upload the XML file in question to somewhere, so I can load it directly to Taiga?

For example searching for yuusha, this is what I get with trused sources only, but I see only Maoyuu Maou Yuusha results in Taiga (screenshot).
If I set nyaa filter to 0 it lists a bunch of Yuushibu releases too, but not all, for example nothing from Commie.

Could it be that you have the Hide unidentified items option enabled? That's the only thing that causes certain torrents to be hidden. I loaded the XML file you provided, and again, all 100 torrents were displayed in Taiga, including Commie's releases.

Commie uses an extremely long title for the series, which is not recognized unless you add "Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita - I Couldn't Become A Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided To Get A Job" as an alternative title. If you do so, you should see Commie's releases even if you want to keep the Hide unidentified items option enabled.

That was it, although I thought I tried without it, but looks like I don't. Thanks!
Also I thought the search wasn't affected by the unidentified items option. For me it would make more sense if only the automated new release checking would be affected by it.

Ok, got a complaint about string parameters in torrent filters. For example when I select "Episode Video Type" or "File Name" it shows filters like 'contains', 'does not contain', 'begin with', etc. but when I press Ok they transform to 'lesser than', 'is lesser than equal to' and stuff like that, that's very misleading to begin with. Not sure in which they worked, hopefully in a way mentioned at first, but that needs to be checked too)
But if the arrow is straight
And the point is slick
It can pierce through dust
No matter how thick...

@maLakai:
Hide unidentified items option is gone as of r259; now you're able to make any discard filter to hide discarded torrents as well. It still doesn't care if the checking was automated or not, but perhaps this will make things more clear in terms of what's affected and what's not.

@Predelnik:
It should be fixed now, thanks.

There's a bug with r261. If you have deactivated (grayed-out) items in the list (because of filters), and download anything, all items will activate (become ungrayed-out) until you "Check for new torrents" again, as if they were discarded normally.

Also, It'd be nice if there was a way to make it so that deactivated torrents in the list are sorted below active ones (like I had in my contributed code), but that's a different subject entirely and isn't necessary.

So I started watching P4A, and it looked like this:

The first episode that wasn't marked as on the computer was #6, but it played just fine, and after the bar looked like this:

The episodes that aren't detected are #13 and #14. Unlike the first time, they don't play. Here's a Pastebin of the episode names:
http://pastebin.com/Rz6Y3sLe
The only thing that comes to mind is that the second issue could be caused by the episodes being named part 1 and 2, otherwise I really have no idea.

Edit: Is it just me, or are the image tags broken?

The first issue that you've encountered with progress bars is not exactly an issue: Taiga just marked whatever episodes it has come across as available while searching for a specific episode, and looks like it didn't have to scan the whole directory for it. I suppose the appearance is deceiving, though.

As you rightly guessed, the second issue is due to "Part 1" and "Part 2" in those file names. They're confusing for a couple of reasons. Let's take the first file as an example:

1) There are multiple numbers in the file name ("Persona 4 The Animation 13 - A Stormy Summer Vacation Part 1"). The main reason we can identify which is which is that we know beforehand that the anime's title is "Persona 4", so whatever number that follows must be the episode number. Obviously this is not the case for Taiga, because the reason it is examining the file name is to figure out which anime it belongs to in the first place.

2) There is no keyword that indicates which number is the episode number (e.g. "Episode 13").

3) Anime title and episode number are not separated in a meaningful way (e.g. "Persona 4 The Animation - 13". This is important, because there are actual titles that end with a number such as "Genshiken 2". Otherwise how can you be sure if it's the 2nd episode of Genshiken and not the 2nd season of the series?

In this case, Taiga couldn't decide and ended up choosing the last-most number as a last resort. This is why it couldn't find 13th and 14th episodes.

P.S: A couple of BBcode tags, including img, has been disabled for some time, yeah.

I may be an idiot, but I can't force my Taiga to autocreate folders for downloaded anime. I tried with both default application (which is uTorrent 3.3) and custom application (pointing at uTorrent 3.3) settings, but uTorrent still asks me for location.

Could it be that "D:\anime\airings" path doesn't exist? Taiga will create a subfolder with the anime title under that path, but only if the "airings" folder is available in advance. In any case, I made another change so that it works even if the path isn't available; could you try it again by downloading from the same link now?

Now I put this here because watching the episode the recognition works, but matching the directories it doesn't.

So the anime in this case is Seitokai Yakuindomo*.
Encountered the problem in the torrents. The filter saw this as available because I have the prequel. Now I tried adding the alternate title to the alternates (Seitokai Yakuindomo Bleep) myself plus I changed the target directory to the alternate title. But still it was looking at the old directory. It showed the episodes avaible both by discarding the first episode torrent and also in the anime list.

Then I downloaded the episode, moved it to the correct directory and when playing it, Taiga recognized correctly (the file is also named by the alternate title), but even after that Taiga looks at the first season's directory. So I guess it will discard the following episodes too in the torrents.

For some reason, "Strike the Blood" appeared on my list with a blue square, and the information window shows "Finished Airing". I checked MAL http://myanimelist.net/anime/18277/Strike_the_Blood and it has "Currently Airing".

After deleting /data/db/anime.xml and reloading Taiga, it was fixed. Is there some sort of bug here that caused it not to fix itself automatically? Probably MAL set it to "Finished Airing" mistakenly for a day or two, it updated to that status on Taiga, but then wouldn't update back to "Currently Airing" once MAL fixed their mistake?

Also, a second, more serious bug:

I've recently activated the option "Recognition -> Media Player must be in focus", and set the delay time to 240 seconds.

For some reason, whenever I open a video and close it after a few (~10) seconds, but before 240 seconds are up, taiga crashes.

Faulting application name: Taiga.exe, version: 1.0.266.0, time stamp: 0x52bad97d
Faulting module name: Taiga.exe, version: 1.0.266.0, time stamp: 0x52bad97d
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00009f9d

I compiled version 273 and ran it through with the debugger, this is the call stack when it crashes:

<pre>Taiga.exe!std::tr1::_Ptr_base<anime::MyInformation>::_Get() Line 1279	C++
Taiga.exe!std::tr1::shared_ptr<anime::MyInformation>::get() Line 1635 C++
Taiga.exe!anime::Item::GetMyStatus(bool check_events) Line 192 C++
Taiga.exe!AnimeDialog::Refresh(bool image, bool series_info, bool my_info, bool connect) Line 524 C++
Taiga.exe!AnimeDialog::SetCurrentId(int anime_id) Line 414 C++
Taiga.exe!anime::Item::EndWatching(anime::Episode episode) Line 147 C++
Taiga.exe!MainDialog::OnTimer(unsigned int nIDEvent) Line 724 C++
Taiga.exe!win32::Dialog::DialogProcDefault(HWND__ * hwnd, unsigned int uMsg, unsigned int wParam, long lParam) Line 344 C++
Taiga.exe!MainDialog::DialogProc(HWND__ * hwnd, unsigned int uMsg, unsigned int wParam, long lParam) Line 317 C++
Taiga.exe!win32::Dialog::DialogProcStatic(HWND__ * hwnd, unsigned int uMsg, unsigned int wParam, long lParam) Line 236 C++

It seems to be a case of an invalid my_info_ on anime_item.cpp line 192:

<pre>if (!my_info_.get()) return mal::MYSTATUS_NOTINLIST;

EDIT: It seems this has started happening even after those 240 seconds pass. Weird.

EDIT2: Deleting the data folder seems to have fixed this.

This kind of problems is usually fixed by refreshing the list or opening anime details window (Taiga tries to load fresh data from MAL at this point and updates it if necessary).

Onto another bug, Taiga crashes when trying to use history item which doesn't have proper anime item in AnimeDatabase (for example, when drawing history window or now playing pane). This is caused by deleting anime from the list after watching some episodes. For now I stuffed the titles to dropped list, but this is just a workaround.

UPD: forgot one more thing, items in history window are sorted by the order they are in history.xml file, instead of being properly sorted by date.

@maLakai, @KasugayaHaruto:
Don't know why, but Taiga's request to http://api.twitter.com/oauth/request_token returns 403 Forbidden all of a sudden. Checked with earlier versions and it's the same, so it's not because of something that has changed within Taiga. Either Twitter has changed something recently, or Taiga's API key got invalidated somehow.

Edit #1: Could be because of this.
Edit #2: All right. It seems to be working again after I enabled HTTPS connections.
Edit #3: Could you try it out by replacing your Taiga.exe with this new one?

@kamensentai:
Could it be that you have too many tabs open? If so, it may be the same issue as this one.

@Sengoku_Nadeko:
Hmm, the latest update doesn't include any change that is related to it though. Try opening the Anime Information dialog, go to My list and settings and check if Folder still points to a valid location.

@B0ngu:
As Aru_ pointed out, it's because the default URLs for NyaaTorrents include a &filter=2 parameter that limits the results by "Trusted only". You can simply remove that parameter and then DeadFish's releases will be displayed as well.

"No status defined" is what MyAnimeList says in return when Taiga tries to update your list. If I remember correctly, the same issue was reported before, though I wasn't able to figure out the reason back then.

Could you tell me any details that might help me reproduce the issue? When did you add Yozakura Quartet: Tsuki ni Naku to your list for the first time? Or rather, was it already in your list before your watched that 2nd episode and got the error yesterday?

If it happens again, close Taiga without doing anything else, and upload the Taiga/data/user/Parasite/history.xml to somewhere so I can take a look at what Taiga's trying to send to MAL.

I need a bit of help in order to figure out what's causing the issue.

1- Which operating system are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
2- Does the 32-bit version of mpv crash too? Or is it only the x64 build?
3- Keep Taiga running, then play file X manually by double-clicking on the file. Does mpv still crash?
4- Disable mpv from Settings → Recognition → Media players, then try to play file X from Taiga. Does mpv still crash?

* "File X" is any file that you're sure it crashes mpv if you play it via Taiga.
