| Hi, I'm Valkyrie. I'm 20, getting my BFA in graphic design and working as a production assistant at a publications house. Obviously I love anime. My favorite types are horror, visual novel-based harem/ecchi, and mahou shoujo. Collecting DVDs and manga is really fun. I absolutely love Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Rammstein, and the Misfits! I am always talking about them...Mostly Nirvana. Favorite album is In Utero, and my favorite songs are Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle and Silver. Saw Rammstein live last year; was absolutely fantastic. Doing the Till headbang and screaming lyrics while they blasted fire was...an experience. I'm a fan of MMOs, been recently getting into Runes of Magic. I play on Reni server. Just join the site two days ago so will be cool if anyone wants to add me. I don't know what to say about animes. They can usually go both ways. I think "how to tell" is as important as "what to tell" when it comes to anime. Many series throwing off because of that. And yeah I have seen many moe series doing great and survive till late game while many non-moe series slacking off because of lack of content. So don't be discouraged if you like moe and don't be overconfident if you go all in to the non-moes. They can usually go both ways. Nice to meet you all. |

| Hey if someone knows this anime... It's an action type. There's a guy pointing a sword to the other guy in a rural area right before the first episode ends. The rural area is a bad place to live and one of the guy is the boss of that area. I watch it with Rainbow: Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin so it should be something before Summer 2010, but it shouldn't be before 2008. Pretty sure it's not Hakuōki. I only watch one episode so I hardly recall the details. Appreciate if someone knows or even just guess some random names. |

| Hello everybody, I'm Aryus from Brazil, 21 y.o and currently studying Naval Engineering, or should i say, getting my ass kicked trying to study it. I've started my anime life while i was a kid, watching old school stuff like DBZ, Yu Yu hakushou, Rurouni Kenshin, Shurato and a couple others. I only really got into it when i hit my 2 year at school, when i heard some friends of mine talking about Naruto (what a nice way to start, but hey, i was a kid back then), so i thought it was pretty cool and that i should give it a shot. After getting hooked up and watching like 100 eps in a single week (Gotta have in mind that i was already a big nerd and gamer, so it wasn't all that hard), i also decided to watch death note, and also feel in love with it. After that my "currently watching" just exploded, varying from every kind and genre of animes and i ended up enjoying them all. I came to MAL about 2 years ago i believe, not quite sure how i found it, i guess it was just fate. MAL not only helped me to keep track of all the stuff i've ssen but also help me discover many amazing animes, and some crappy ones, i've never heard of before. Currently i've reached that momment in life when you think that most of the new animes are extremely cliché, making me drop most of them, even tho i'm trying really hard not to (Take mushibugyou for example, i've given it a 4 so far but still hanging in there, especially because now it's getting way better, even tho it's still far from good, IN MY OPINION). On these last weeks i've been craving for more mindbending animes like Gankutsuou and Lain, in which you go "Wtf is going on", every couple of seconds. I find pretty interesting that it forces you to think about what is going on, and that many people can come to different conclusions. I've also joined the manga train not long ago, mostly because i just stuck with bleach so far, that i couldn't bring myself to not know how it ends (that love to hate relationship), after that i picked up HxH and The Breaker, and absolutely loved them both (Keep in mind i had previously watched HxH animes, i just needed to know what happened after the anime ended back in the old days). I got quite a few right now that i'm trying to read, but i have yet to find willpower to be able to sit down and read a bunch, cause i don't really like to read a couple of chapters per sitting. That's pretty much my life history, yeah, life, since my entire life revolves pretty much about watching and playing shit. Hope i didn't make you guys tear ur eyes off. ;) |

| welcome Aryus, nice wall of text you got there! i also started with the old school shounens, theyre still my favorites to this day. im pretty much in the same boat youre in except it sounds like you got alot more free time than i do. i have the same dilemma with the whole bleach thing and stuff but unfortunately i have a couple friends who are caught up to like every manga and just love spoiling explaining to me in detail exactly whats going on. also, you can still watch HxH.. the 2011 version is still going, theyre into the chimera ant arc right now if youre not watching. anyways hope you like it here and enjoy your stay! |

That's one of the reasons i don't want to start watching or reading any non-seasonal animes, since i don't really enjoy having to stop watching/reading for sometime to get stuff done. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys even a tiny bit of fighting. And yes, he does like like crow on this picture. |

| Well then i guess its my turn to introduce myself. Hello world, how are you? I hope you are doing fantastic. My name is Joshua and im 22 years old, though id prefer it if you stick to Josh or my very kitsune roleplay character Kyo. I have been obsessed with anime since child hood. Many may say that their first anime where Pokemon or one of those starter ones but ill come out and say that my first was Tenchi Muyo and i been screwed up ever since. (<3 xD) I currently live in my home town in the United States waiting on my break in a series of bad luck hoping to finally be able to get off my ass and into college so i can finally get the hell outta Missouri. I love all anime, (except sport ones.....*Shutters*) though my favorites have to be Hellsing and its Ova, Toradora, Deadman Wonderland, and Zetsuen no Tempest to name a few. I simply adore romances the most, Im a sucker for a good heart throb being a romantic myself. For musical taste i love most electronic music, favoring Trance and Drum & bass, though I am also a metal head, have a huge love for classical and theatrical stuff, and just starting to fall in love with Korean pop and Japanese metal. (please give me more, feed me music, FEED ME SEYMOUR) Ill also admit, I am a horrible flirt and i love my alcohol, especially enjoying both at once. In my free time i often times end up gaming and im always on steam, skype or League of legends so throw me a message if you are ever bored or lonely. Im always lost in my own insanity, i welcome you to come join me in it ^, ~ *edit note : I cant spell for the life of me, criticize me all you want, its just helps cure in the end. |

| i used to listen to those bands before but ive slowed down on the music quite a bit.. anyways welcome! i also was a trance and DnB head after graduation in my e-tard prime. now i dont listen to much trance anymore besides the occasional above and beyond, john o'callaghan, ATB,and of course, armin van buuren. im also a huge fan of deadman wonderland, most people say its decent or crapp but its like my second favorite anime.. im glad someone else agrees its a great show! ^^ but you got toradora up there too, ewww o.o how dare you put that title next to deadman wonderland!! >:O |

I know its not everyone cup of tea but i simply adore romantic animes all the same as the senseless destruction and gore of other genres It goes with my yin yang personality. |

I also won't go near Yaoi stuff and anything that has over 150 episodes collectively. Also, certain types of comedies and anime with distinct art styles and/or character personalities don't sit well with me either. But yeah, it's good to have more of a balance imo. |

Evolutionary psychology is interesting. I learned a little about it during my studies of "success with women and dating". |
