| 7/10 Not gonna put too much into commenting about it. It was really good in the beginning but sorta faltered a little near the end? I think people are being waaaaay too harsh is rating it 5/10. Like, seriously. It wasn't THAT BAD. Then again a lot of these animes that are ending are getting shitty reviews for w/e stupid reasons. |

| I know it started all from this, but the actual song is terrible. I just can't stand Vocaloids. Except for this, it was really enjoyable. But so was Guilty Crown :P I also don't understand why people watched it all the way to the end (well, only 8 episodes, but still) if they didn't like a single one. And whats bad about a second season? Nobody forces you to watch it if you didn't like this. And it could even be totally different. I would totally watch it if it's similiar, especially with a better soundtrack. Especially OP. The usual ED used is okay, just nothing special. |

| Last episode of Black Rock Shooter and I am very satisfied. That fight scene betweeen BRS and Insane BRS was fucking awesome. Man, I fangasmed so much lmao. Mato being BRS was awesome but that huge-ass rainbow canon was pretty weird. However, seeing Insane BRS getting obliterated by that was so satisfying, I mean look at those colours... :D The Strength 'dying' part was quite melodramatic but it was still nice and sad. Fucking loved the last part when the ED song start playing, despite it being quite cheesy. xD Definitely a 5/5. Overall, I fucking loved the Black Rock Shooter Anime. It started pretty slow but got so epic and I was so engaged, especially those fight scenes, fudge me. xD Seeing Insane Black Rock Shooter in action was too epic for words and then seeing Mato herself become Black Rock Shooter was awesome. I would have liked it if the Anime was at least 12 episodes long but for 8 episodes, it was really good. I know the Anime has quite a lot of flaws and understand why many dislike this so much but I just love it so much I don't really care, probably 'cos I'm just a huge and biased Black Rock Shooter fan. :P So having said that, giving BRS Anime a 9/10. Well since I'm a huge BRS fan I definitely want to see another season or maybe an Anime adaptation of the PSP game story of the Innocent Soul manga. :DD |

| decent if cliche ending to a cool anime. but it ended wayyy too cleanly. i was expecting a flashback for Matou to reveal some trauma she'd have to overcome that would explain why she is the way she is. my one personal expectation for this finale was that Matou would be fleshed out as a character in some meaningful way. i didn't get it. oh well, it was still quite entertaining for the most part. all in all, way more depth than the OVA which is a good thing, but still just a tiny bit too shallow in the character department. i feel like a final punch was pulled. |

| Don't care what people say i loved this show. Sad it's over, hell cried a bit too during last episode, but hey, i'm a sappy guy and love this kinda stuff lol I know i've watched a good anime when i've cried during it lol |
| So it's finally over....it has been a fun ride we've been. With all the drama, the fighting....all piled into a nicely put package(to me). So let us look at what happened in this final episode: |
| Well, it was much better than I expected. In my opinion, it was a well-used concept. Although sometimes it was getting weird, crazy even. But a lot of things still are not clear. This should be at least 13 ep. Another thing is the animation, it should look like the OVA. Especially the character designs, sometimes hurts my eyes. Well at least the fight was pretty good. 7/10. Ohhh... F$*c all haters. |

| I'm not totally sure what to make of this series. Some moments in it I though were amazing and really well done, making me really want to see the next episode. Others were badly done. Although the ending is nice, it felt a little bit too perfect. I think overall i prefer the ova as it seemed to me personally to make more sense. Good series though, I gave it a 7. I would have liked the ending to have been a bit darker than they saved Mato and all became friends. |

| Well, unlike apparently a number of folks here, I enjoyed this series greatly. I found Yomi and Kagari's mental instability to be a credible depiction of paranoid personality disorder and Münchausen syndrome (with a side order of dependent personality disorder for both), respectively. Tie this with the fact that they're essentially hormonal teenagers, and you have a recipe for some serious drama. After the middle half, things start rolling into the supernatural, and here things got really interesting. Saya-chan's use of psychological warfare to "solve problems" by having their dopplegangers in the otherworld destroyed by Black Rock Shooter was remarkably creative. This draws to mind parallels with real-world coping mechanisms, including repressing memories and drug usage (there was obviously none in the series, but people in the real world often use drugs to "forget" traumatic past incidents - the parallel is obvious here). Speaking of the otherworld, I really enjoyed the art and animation there - and the occasional fanservice (most notably Strength's exposed pantsu. With the lack of boobs on all of the cast except for BGS, they had to get a little creative, heh). With how utterly indestructible BRS is, things get really, really crazy in these battles, and I just love it. Good stuff. Heh, and again, unlike other posters I actually liked how the real-world gave context and meaning to these battles. Fighting by itself is cathartic and all, but just fighting that is devoid of meaning is... well, empty. Context is important. And the ending, while perhaps a little too straightforward, was a breath of fresh air after all the drama and hardship the characters went through. Some stories just lend themselves well to a happy ending, and I think this is one of them. I give it a 9/10. I can't give it anything more than that simply due to the fact that it's 8 episodes and the pace was noticeable rushed because of it; had it been an even half-length series (13 episodes), it would've benefited from it tremendously. As it is, though, I definitely enjoyed it immensely and would, indeed, like to see a second season - preferably one that gives the characters the room they need to grow into our hearts. |
| It was interesting, but severely hurt because it tried to be two different things at once. It couldn't decide whether it wanted to be a school drama or an action sci fi fantasy and ended up failing to be good at either. The main problem is the plot made completely no sense at all. The red girl starts off being really obviously evil and then she is suddenly actually good. The show can never decide whether having an other world avatar is good or bar. On one hand they say when they die, the real person lets go of their stress, but then they also turn in to emotionless robots. Not to mention if them dying is good for the real person, why would their fighting to survive be good for the real person? The animation in make believe world was also pretty mediocre, especially in fight scenes. It is like they have a nice looking character design in static art but just can't figure out how to animate it and/or get it to fight to any degree of quality. |
| Good ending, they sure to deliver an important message in this ending.. and with a very cute Protagonist makes this show very interesting.. :D |
