Vocaloids are basically computer programs that sing. Most of them are for Japanese songs, and they are each given character to represent them. My avatar is the most famous one, Hatsune Miku, but there are many more.

Ah I see, I think my friend told me about that once. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of that kind of music, but I like your drawing ;)

Did better did worst, don't know what is really wrong in this drawing but i don't like the overall feeling of it.
I would like some tips ^^.

I noticed that there is really very little overlapping in the image. This technique is used to show that one object is in front of the other. Another issue was that it was kind of hard to discern that her rear end was facing us because the left leg is not forward to counter balance the left arm being bent backward. The figure needs to be drawn with a sense of balance and space on the page. Some helpful thoughts are that the spine has kind of a natural bend to it, like an S curve. You want to line up your pelvic mass and your chest mass along this curve. Also, note that you can, most times, draw a plumb line (straight vertical line) from the head of the figure to the ground to find a line of balance. You want to balance the masses of the body on either side of this line so that your figure is balanced. This means if I put my leg out in front of me, you'd usually expect some part of my body to be out behind me to balance my weight. Practice drawing through so that you can visualize the space that an object takes up. Practice your observational drawing so that you can get a sense of what seems realistic and what isn't, but also practice your imaginative drawing. The only thing that makes you better is practice practice practice! Good luck.

Another thing that you could consider helpful is what's called "staging". Lets say our objective is to draw a character that is running. Well, you might draw the pose in several different methods, but you'll find that some angles that you view your subject at are more revealing than others. Concept designers often take advantage of this fact and they start their character designs or other designs with nothing but a black silhouette. The idea is that if you have captured the action well using a silhouette, then chances are that the drawing will read very very well. This method of thought has been around since the early days of film, before there was sound. Actors would say that if you can capture the idea in silhouette then you've represented it well on film. You'll actually find that there is a lot of parallels between acting and animation, but that's a different topic. Hope this helps you compose your figures.

Hope you enjoy, inspired by Evangelion 2.0, drawn with pencil, outlined with pen, scanned and edited. Fanfic.

Go to an image hosting website such as Imageshack or photobucket and upload your image, then post it here.
