| by that I meant mostly the latter. I don't really have a good experience with mecha. Haven't been much exposed to "realistic" mecha though. |

| Well, realistic mecha is... Realistic. Rule of cool doesn't apply here. Especially in BT. You can run out of ammo, overheat your mech so it auto-shutdowns (or even explodes...), one-two shots in cockpit = you're dead, there's no "nakama power," "willpower ownz all" - for example - you can win with a Thor (70 tons) against Atlas (100 tons), BUT you have to be skilled, your mech must have adequate weaponry (like shotguns in a city or lots of LRMs in the open). You can try watching Armored Trooper VOTOMS, playing MW4: Mercenaries to see if "realistic mecha" genre suits your tastes. |
