This place. It's very classy and has a flag almost as big as their actual building:

Morton's The Steakhouse is also pretty good when I'm wanting prime.

This is my favorite restaraunt! They have sushi, salads, hot cooked food, desserts and of course sake. And the great thing is it is a buffet.

Here is some of the hot entrees they have:
http://www.todai.com/menu_hotentresse.html

If you guys like seafood, go here for locations (I REALLY recommend it)
http://www.todai.com/locations.php

And just some pictures to give you an idea:

I got these pictures off of google, but I'd like to have my photographer friend take better ones because it really doesnt showcase what they have to offer.

I go back there pretty often, even though its an hour and a half drive from me.

Man, this thread always makes me hungry...LoL

Enjoy!

I think my new favorite restaurant is the sushi place I had the pleasure of visiting last week. I'm not usually one to eat out, though, so "favorite" in this case simply means "the only restaurant I've visited since I gave up meat." Their vegetarian sushi was surprisingly good.

If you like seafood, Todai and O-nami are great seafood buffets. From lobsters, scallops, shrimps, sushi, sashimi, sake, all kinds of fruits and vegetables, to coffee cakes, green tea ice cream and hot entrees such as real quality teriyaki beef, mussels and so much more. (price is about $27 per person on weekend nights when they have all the best dishes out)

If you just want to enjoy sushi with no main hot entrees, I suggest finding a restaurant that specializes in sushi dishes. They are high quality and great tasting but also come with high prices. Still great to go too. Usually the best sushi places are not commercially known but are more single dining establishments. Look closer to areas that are not more than 35 miles off the coast for best results.

Good restaurants I enjoy:
Todai
O-nami
Shogun
TGIF
Chilis
(Fast Food)
Inn N Out
Sonics
All I can think of right now. 8)

There's a Japanese quite near my house (about 10 mins walk) that's not too expensive, gives good portions, and is quite delicious.
Peace through Superior Firepower!

I guess I'll eat almost anything if I don't mind cheap, sucky buffets lol. As long as there aren't like pieces of hair or a finger in the food, and doesn't make me sick, it's fine with me :D

Favorite fastfood restaurant?

It will be a choice between Mos Burger and Pizza Hut.

Edit: I will add McDonald's to the list. It's a good change once in awhile to eat a McDonald's meal along with a cup of coke. Coke is one of the best soft drinks IMO.

Try a real Big Mac.
Since McDonald's quality food has gone down a bit, try getting a Jumbo Jack from Jack in the Box for $1.89 with cheese and then buying this sauce:

This is better than the McDonald's Big Mac!
Enjoy! 8)

It's actually a bar just a block away from my place, but the pizza there is the best I've found in the entire city.

I never said that ;) Curry just happens to be my favorite thing to eat. I'm sure I am missing out on tons of little hole in the wall places but those can be nigh impossible to find without someone that speaks Japanese unfortunately. For example, I know there is a great Thai restaurant somewhere within 30-45 minutes of me off base but its only open 1 day a week for a couple hours since it it a guys house. Supposed to be amazing, nobody knows where it is though, its always "I know someone that went there" or something along those lines.

Sounds like you really have to find that place. Just looking for it would be a story and if the food is as amazing as people say, then you reap the rewards of finding that place. Good Luck! 8)
