| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I enjoyed the Seikai no Monshou tv show so I thought I'd watch the movie to remind myself what happened in the beginning before watching Seikai no Senki. The movie was fine for a reminder, but it was cut rather akwardly at times. The scenes just kind of jumped from one to the next, between getting their disguises and being descovered by the police in the hotel room and evading the army and suddenly being in the amusement park. They didn't try to make it make sence and it was obvious that some part of the story was missing. I'd read that there was new footage, but I didn't notice anything. It has been a while I watched the tv show though. In my opinion they didn't leave enough in having to do with character development, such as the relationship between Lafiel and Jinto and the people they met. I realize that not everything can be kept, but they managed to keep most of the action scenes, but not enough of the relationships which were equally important in my book. Overall, I give it a 6 out of 10. (7 out of 10 for the tv show.) |
