| Accesssorily, the Shin Getter Robo OAVs series, a modern reimagining of the first 2 TV series with a tone closer to comics, is a pretty good introduction to Getter Robo's characters and style. |
| At first I thought I had to watch some earlier version to get a better handle on what is going on because it seemed like sequel to something. But apparently it's supposed to be a sequel to a story like that never existed... Well it's from Bandia's Emotion imprint, who seemed to have a thing for producing ambitious/artsy re-imaginings of older franchises, so not surprised. |
