Nanoha the Movie 1st is showing a means score of 7.74 when it should be in the 8.3 range. It's not a big deal for now, but I'd like it fixed eventually. People kind of use those stats to decide whether or not to watch it, afterall.

Tell me why it should be "in the 8.3 range". I have no idea what you want fixed.

So a movie must be set for 1/1 before the score is counted? Even if it's set to 'watching'? That makes sense, however, it had a rating of 8.3 four days or so back, and since I noticed nothing much changed with how many people rated it, I was confused why ti dropped. If this a new method to factor the 'means' score?

Actually, that doesn't make sense, because it says it was scored by '55' users, and the only way the movie has 55 users that scored it, is if you count the users who are watching it and don't have it completed. And the means score of those 55 users is roughly 8.3.

I think it's the difference between a weighted and unweighted score. Every anime starts out with an unweighted score and as soon as enough people have watched the anime, it will change to a weighted score.

The unweighted score counts every single rating. The weighted score only count ratings from people who have watched enough of the anime. It tells you right under the number of favorites whether it's a weighted or unweighted score.

Here's an example of an anime with an unweighted score: http://myanimelist.net/anime/8740/One_Piece:_Strong_World_Episode_0

That could be it. Thanks for clarifying.
