First of all, sorry if this question already being asked, but I already search and I'm new here (in this Support Section).

I tried to export my anime list to XML file, and done successfully. But when I retrieve the data (on the Excel / Access) I can see almost all data, except for 'Total drive space', as seen on the online list.

So, the question is, can someone from the database admin kind enough to change the export XML to also included this data? I really hope for this, as I need the data to calculate total size of my anime (in my hardisk).

I believe many people can gain the benefit if the data is included in XML.

Lastly, thank you for reading and kind consideration. :)

"Total drive space"? Exactly where are you seeing this on your list? MAL doesn't save file sizes of various fansub group releases, let alone which release you downloaded. So MAL wouldn't/shouldn't be able to accurately tell you how much disk space you wasted on anime to begin with.

A much better idea would be to organise your HD (better), so that you have all your anime in the same spot. That way it would be just a matter of either selecting all the folders that contain anime or simply selecting the folder/disk that only contains anime to figure out how much space anime is accupying your HD with.

Thanks for the reply, Boursk-san.

Let me use the picture to give the better explanation.

First, is from my list : http://myanimelist.net/animelist/shadowzephyr

From the picture, you can see the size of the each anime I saved in my external hardisk (in the red box).

Second, is from where I input the data to the database : (just an example)

You can see I insert the size in GB for an anime, which is 2.90GB. We can see the page when we edit our anime data entry.

So, this data is the one that I hope to be included in XML file.

A much better idea would be to organise your HD (better), so that you have all your anime in the same spot.

Yes, I totally agree, and I didn't have problem with this. I just need the data for the size of all anime that from my hardisk that I entered in the MAL database.

For detailed case, I want to create an offline data for my anime list (in Microsoft Access 2007). I have two 1TB external hardisk just for storing my anime, so I don't have problem with organizing my anime. The problem is, one of my external is at home, and now I'm at university. So, I thought I can retrieve the data from MAL, but the 'Total drive space' is not included. The other data (such as Series Title, My Storage, My Status) is in there.

Also, it much easier to query the data from XML file rather than create from scratch with my anime. For example, I can calculate the total size of drive space for all Completed anime which inside both my external hardisk easily, using Access. Or, I want to list all anime that have more than 5GB in both external HD.

Not really need information, but I believe my total size of anime is 920GB (full on the first external HD) and around 450GB for the second one here, total ~1.33 TB.

Alrighty then. Considering this isn't a current feature, I'll move it to suggestions. It's up to Xinil if it's going to implemented.
