| Keep your table clean, daily, wipe it with a cleanex to take the dust off. Each week clean the vent filters. Have a pc case with dust filters. Blow the dirty out of components with canned air andor brushes and change thermal paste yearly. Don't keep your pc on a carpet, wool or the floor. Don't eat at the pc. Just the basics. I am sure there are in depth guides on youtube. Go for it. |

| @waferish Man I am SO glad someone else remembers that thread! Yeah I wish I could find it lol. I did a quick search and didn't see it. The guy had posted a picture of his keyboard before and after. Before it was COMPLETELY COVERED in some kind of residue. And then his after pic was... a little better... but he said he cleaned it with his spit, which means he slathered his spit all over the whole frickin keyboard. Yeah, gross. |

| I couldn't bare to live with a nasty keyboard but the first reply tells you everything you need to do. It's not complicated and if need you can take it down to a repair shop or where you got it from if you don't feel comfortable replacing some parts like the thermal paste. |

| This thread is giving me flashbacks to that one user who had an extremely grimy keyboard. My laptop at one point had mold growing on it because I used an ice pack to keep it from overheating but accidentally left it there and the condensation grew mold which I cleaned off with alcohol but the alcohol damaged the plastic. Now it is just dusty because due to damage it has I have not used it very often. All my other stuff is pretty clean though even sanitized with a UVC light. |
