The only one that I have watched that could fit with your request is Girls' Last Tour. Two girls explore an empty world that was destroyed by war. It is a weird combination of a cute show and existential crisis. They also explore many abandoned places.

There are also a couple I found that I have not watched/read. Blame! is a manga series where the MC explores a massive steel city, and the secret of this world is slowly revealed. There is an anime, but the manga has a much higher rating on MAL. Memories is a compilation of 3 short films, and one of those short films is about 2 engineers who explore an abandoned space station, are hit with hallucinations, and have to figure out how to escape. Home is a 7 minute short film where an astronaut explores a crashed spaceship.

Hopefully, these fit what you are asking for.

@NunoTheDudeYT Yeah, unfortunately, that was all I could find. I am not that familiar with the space genre. So, there is a good chance that I missed something, however.

Astra Lost in Space is about a group of teens trying to get back home from a galaxy far far away. They travel in a spaceship they just happen to find lying around...

I've seen Event Horizon so I know what you're referring to and it's not exactly the same with a large part of the focus or emphasis in films and stories like that (usually Sci-Fi horror) being on the setting itself being haunted, cursed, an interdimensional portal to hell, etc.

It's not exactly the same, but you should consider watching Gnosia from the current autumn season, as it's a Sci-Fi mystery thriller set aboard a spaceship traveling through deep space and because of the nature of the plot there is a lot which is uncertain about reality, identity, why things are transpiring at all or the way that they are, and where certain characters came from and where they are going.
