| I have 2 possibilities about who Yuugure might be: 1- She's Towasa but transmitted her consciousness to an android body, and I think that android is "Ichikishima", her AI assistant. The "Towa" in the title is translated to "eternal" or "eternity" and we know that Akira was sleeping for a very long time, so it's impossible for Towasa to live all this time, thus she was waiting for his awaking. So the title means "the eternal Yuugure", because she lived and waited like forever and no matter how it takes she wanna meet him again. 2- Towasa didn't transmit her consciousness, and Yuugure is actually "Ichikishima". What supports this is what Ichikishima said in ep. 0, that she's envious (idk if I can call it she lol) of her, also Towasa thought she should call her "AP" instead of "AI" because she reached a high lvl of intelligence, so after watching the relationship between them, maybe Ichikishima wanted to try these romance feelings in the future. Last but not least, the voice actress for Yuugure and Ichikishima is the same, Ishikawa Yui. What do you think? |

Pretty much sums up how I saw it, including the probable name meanings. Although Yuugure is written in katakana so using the kanji to verify definitions is impossible. But wiki gives the literal title as twilight of eternity so it adds up. Probably a top 3 anime this season, I’m really impressed so far.

I also noticed that "Yuugure" written in katakana so didn't translate it and treated it like a person's name, that's why I said it might mean "the eternal Yuugure", or should I say "Yuugure the eternal"? Also checked the wiki but didn't notice the literal meaning until you bring it up. So if you translate "twilight" to JP it's written "Yuugure" in romaji huh, and that's why they used "dusk" in the title. Anyway I think the meaning of the title would emerge later as the anime progressing like most anime titles. |

I think they could be anything, like some kind of sister-class models based on Yuugure's original template made by Towasa, later revisions of the same template made by someone else or even completely different androids, maybe created in more recent years. |

@MH93 The linguistics are interesting in the way the Japanese title uses katakana to make sure Yuugure is read as a name rather than its meaning, twilight. Also Loid Forger could use it as his agent name…
But on the alternative possibilities of where Towasa went after ep 0, there’s a lot of possibilities as we don’t see whether she lives or dies. The idea of transferring an actual soul is never hinted at in ep 0 but if she lived on she could have developed that tech? If not like you suggest Ichikishima (literally one tree island) could be the source of the future civilisation as all the concepts it overheard could have been distorted in the mind of a machine wishing for human experiences. I pointed out the translation of ichikishima as the logo of the company is exactly that in the shooting scene btw.
But as a romance fan I hope Towasa is the mind inside the android and the Owel regime is run by an out of control Ichikishima. That would lead to direct conflict between AI and the human that created it, a kind of moral payback for playing god.

I didn't include this in my very first post to avoid overloading it with too much information or too many theories, but I also noticed that Towasa was written with katakana and Akira used to call her Towa (as a nickname), I mean it's maybe a foreshowing since the title contains "Towa", hence the connection between Towasa and Yuugure |

| @bastek66 I think you're confusing Tagitsu with Ichikishima; Ichikishima was Towasa's AI assistant while Tagitsu was Akira's seemingly less sophisitcated AI companion. But who knows, maybe Tagitsu will also reappear in the story as an android later on. |
