Actually, the intro in the song is performed by electric guitar. But since I don't have an instrument and don't know how to play guitar, I can only use piano simulator software to play the intro with the melody according to my memory.

@gonedarkht You can combine the suggestion from @Sasori56483 to simulate a guitar and then use Shazam or any other music detecting app

So let me understand the history of how all this came to be -

3. You recreated it on some software, which is in the video

Since it could be a game, what kind of games did you play growing up and what consoles? The melody definitely sounds like something that could be on the PS2 generation JRPGs or 2D in Capcom's golden years.

I first heard it around 2014, I think it was released earlier. I remember that the video included the Blazbue anime and some scenes from other anime or games. I even knew the name of the song back then and saved it to my computer. (Of course, it was lost later.)

A few years ago I accidentally remembered it after listening to a KOF game song. I've been trying to find it ever since.

Possibly an AMV. These get deleted faster than nudity on Youtube! I guess you could search old AMVS with Blazeblue.

Maybe a combo video with Blazeblue and other fighters? If there's other games - which is actually uncommon as ppl dont usually mix games together for these kinda videos- it could be a trailer for some kind of event.

In 2014, I watched it on youtube, I remember the video name was in Japanese. In the video, I remember there were some anime and game scenes mixed together, maybe blazblue and KOF combined together. I even checked my old youtube accounts but there were no results. Maybe that video is no longer available

It was a song without a singer. Just guitar.
The computer that stored that song was broken and the parts were long gone. I also tried searching for KOF's music but there were no right results.

So, I think it's my destiny to never reach it again. If you guys like any song, don't hesitate to save as much information as possible.

@gonedarkht There is a history option on your Youtube watching, and also likes (separate), the video MIGHT be there! If it's a dead link, putting the old YT URL into Wayback or Google images can bring up clues to find it again on other websites.

Hmm its a song like Kyo's theme then? But not it. There are some tracks like this on many, many OSTs out there. I would definitely just go through anime fighter OSTs there are many. I actually sample these all the time I even have dedicated KOF and GG folders lol. So if I come across any that might be it I'll try to remember to post them here.

You could also post in Reddits for game music you're looking for a song with that melody you posted (in the start). They're actually really good at finding stuff with a few clues.



I thought it might be this, but it has lyrics. This is an animeish fighter guitar song that's been around a while (90s) but also very obscure. I've never seen an instrumental of this anywhere.

Well actually the best thing to do is (and this pains me to type) get someone else to post every clue mentioned here along with the video to the Blazblue subreddit and related subreddits (one subreddit at a time, you know how their rules are). One of those nerds might recognize the melody.
