@fleurbleue No, thinking that way is not good for you or anyone's self-esteem. People should interact with each other in good faith, and not assuming the most heinous prejudices out of a twisted definition of vigilance, especially if they're not really strangers in a dangerous environment.

| I lock external doors and my bedroom door at night. I also lock the bathroom door even if I am home alone. During day when I am awake I often have the doors unlocked but sometimes locked too. I have had drunk residents go into other peoples apartments that were not locked cause they were hammered etc. Always keep ya doors locked. | Yep, I always locked the entry door (both front and rear) when I'm at home. Just because the neighbor looks safe doesn't mean it's not 100% safe. |
