@fleurbleue No, thinking that way is not good for you or anyone's self-esteem. People should interact with each other in good faith, and not assuming the most heinous prejudices out of a twisted definition of vigilance, especially if they're not really strangers in a dangerous environment.
@Kdekalcio The only ones who can afford to think like that are the ones who're in a position where they got the upper hand. Instead of taking it personal you should just accept that the world got a lot of bad people in it and understand why normal people don't want to take the chance of dealing with that shit

@fleurbleue Btw I noticed you were unusually rude to PV in another thread. Are you alright? We can talk about it, if you want. After all, who knows psychos better than another psycho? ("A doctor" is the wrong answer... well, unless his surname is Lecter.)

@LoveYourSmile After all that happened with @PeripheralVision, it seems all my teasing awakened some weird kink within him. I didn't plan to tease him again, but he literally asked me to, saying, and I quote, "I came back because your teasing was like air, and I needed to breathe." What else can I do but comply if he wants to be abused?

Put more effort into it, please.
First, the dude deserves it.
Next, the lurkers are reading it.
Finally, I'm reading it. And I expect it to be more playful than rude. Rape is for homos, right?

@LoveYourSmile Hey, it's him that came up with the sex dungeon stuff, that's not me! I'm just playing along.

Look, the dude came up with something! That's above your usual expectations from a man.
Smile and applause.

@LoveYourSmile For a man to think about a sex dungeon is pretty much within expectations, actually.

@fleurbleue Really? I have never thought about it. Had thoughts about Troy, Ancient Rome, concentration camps and torture devices, about that fly on the ceiling and how it stays there with its tiny limbs, even about k-pop artists! - never about sex dungeons. I must be not a man.

Anyway, I like your soft version, that's the message.

@NS2D Oh no, don't take it wrong. I'm not offended at that level, neither do I think everyone should be friends. Of course I don't behave with strangers as if we were close. But there's a difference between being vigilant around people you don't know and just directly affirming to yourself "this guy is a potential rapist"

Locking one's door isn't a bad idea. However, locks can be broken.

All this whining about "b-but men are nice" is funny. None of you would trust men either if you were a woman lmao. I sure wouldn't.

I remember this incredibly pretty coworker. End of her first day at work, we boys are all smoking a cig outside talking about her, when she goes through the gates, waves at us and starts walking home. I'm not kidding, she didn't walk 10 meters before some dumbass in a Golf stopped at her level and tried to take her home lmao.

I lock external doors and my bedroom door at night. I also lock the bathroom door even if I am home alone. During day when I am awake I often have the doors unlocked but sometimes locked too.

Lock your doors people. I've seen some wild stuff, not only that but a lot of time its not just strangers coming in. I have had drunk residents go into other peoples apartments that were not locked cause they were hammered etc.

Always keep ya doors locked.

Note to self: move to apartment with cute girl residents and leave door unlocked

if your answer is "no" then i'm envious of the life you have lead LOL
i now live in a place currently where break-ins would probably never happen, but i still do it
probably because i'm an anxiety-riddled asshole
i frequently have dreams of people coming into my house and i try to punch them. ever thrown a punch in a dream? for most ppl, sure you have. it don't work like that.
most mornings while i drink my coffee i write lyrics. i've never had anywhere to put them so maybe i could put them on my blog. check it out if you want. it'll be updated most days lol https://myanimelist.net/blog.php?eid=909668

Yep, I always locked the entry door (both front and rear) when I'm at home. Just because the neighbor looks safe doesn't mean it's not 100% safe.

A thread inspired by a coworker of mine who never locks their apartment door because they feel safe enough with the apartment complex door being locked… But one time, an elderly woman happened to arrive at the building entrance at the exact same moment as me and held the door open for me, most obviously assuming I lived there too. I ended up scaring the hell out of my coworker by barging in completely unannounced, all while screaming, before telling them they should really start locking their door (they still don’t lock their door).

But what about you? Is that something you do? Why do you feel safe enough to make yourself more vulnerable for no reason at all? Or are you actually sane and do lock your door?

Yeah...
I do not understand the problem my fellow otaku...
Take of your pants, get your BFG or Railgun
and destroy the fucking door down...
