| I just cringe every time the use the words "rivals" "no hard feelings" "fair and square" in harem animes lol. Finally Kotono did something but only made her situation worse, as Minami and Ouka also confessed theirs. I think this season atleast needed a Kotono arc before wrapping she is just a mess now. Ofc Arata will listen why not. But that bombshell tho. One more pair off siblings. Minusing Minami & Shion. One of other four girls and Arata is the likely case. My guess Arata & Kotono, which will be so devastating for her. Just a way to shut off one girl in the future very crap writing just to add spice when it's not needed. Unless the actual blood related incest wins then we are cooking with this otherwise bad... Not the best among current crop harem romcoms. Probably be the worst among the ones I watched/read. The siblings dynamics are mess idk if author has actual siblings but some of the actions just doesn't work. Also Shion is very wasted character. Use him to take another sister or something rather just there to give exposition no one cares. 6/10 Looking at current pace of manga and how the author is busy marrying Chizuru it will be a while if ever there's a S2. But ffs Doga Kobo use your goated resources somewhere decent like anime og OnK. Anyway for the last time girls ranking - 1. Minami - Easy top, by far the most calm sensible honest one. Very fun girl and most/2nd most pretty. Alas she seems least popular and has 0 chance of winning. 2. Ouka - I will always like Tsunderes. But she is kinda selfish and problematic. Odds on favourites to win rn as Arata head can't buy not think about her. 3. Kotono - I like her honesty from start and she doesn't care about blood related or whatever. But she is way too shy and didn't do much until the end. Also 0 chance. 4. Seiha- Tbh she is great when she has screentime but she just doesn't have any. When she does she will go higher. With Minami most/2nd in beauty. Way better oneechan. 5. Banri - I am not really that fond of clingy oneechan trope and it's done bad and generic too. Plus the way she treats Kotono bugs me. "Better than Rent a Girlfriend"π |
| This episode started calm but ended with a bang.. We were able to appreciate the beauty of the Shiunji sisters in swimsuit, finally!! π€©πππ»π Seiha without glasses is so damn hot for real β€οΈπ₯β€οΈπ₯ Banri finally said it lol.. Too bad she wasn't loud enough for Arata to hear it. Minami and even Tsundere Ouka spoke out about their feelings for Arata infront of Kotono. Kotono is getting betrayed back to back. ππ Arata is already suffering enough 'cause of Ouka and it's gonna get even more crazier. Now I think Arata would wish that he had been more of a bratty kid when they were little instead of a reliable brother π π These girls were just waiting for an excuse to date their brother and their dad presented them with a nice opportunity. And with all the twists, the biggest one at the end was the reveal that some siblings other than Shion and Minami are siblings as well, damn !! π±π± Never saw that coming. If that's the truth why did the dad hide that fact !? and I guess Banri knows the truth as well. So is it possible that Banri is the one who ends up with Arata in the future and they're the ones who are not related to each other and would that endup being one of the reasons why they can get together in the future !? I really loved this anime despite a lot of negative reviews for this since it's being one of Miyajima Reiji's work and so it's getting the Rent a girlfriend treatment. But I believe this show can end better. I'm gonna miss hearing the lovely op 'Honey Lemon'by Nacherry every Tuesdays. I have been listening to it for this past 3 months nonstop. It's so catchy. Can't wait for the announcement for season 2. |

But I just don't find him very engaging to watch, he feels so flat in my eyes. Sure, he fills a necessary role within the sister-drama, but I just don't find him interesting. Yes, he has a girlfriend, but did we see a plotline where he can really shine his personality? Especially while with his girlfriend (But maybe I don't remember) I just wish we would've seen a lot more of his inner thoughts and how he observed the dynamics happening around him. I see, so like he was underused in this whole story, serving a purpose, but not really treated like a main character in the story, so he comes off rather uninteresting. |

| A nice more fanservice-y finale, can’t go wrong with putting these beautiful babes in swimsuits before we leave them. There were lots of nice moments during the river bit, like close encounters of the Banri-kind lol, I think she might have had the most close contact with Arata than anyone else in the show, and it was here where it was pretty much confirmed that she also loves Arata, even if it was just a tease I’m glad it was thrown out there. And Seiha has been a bit neglected in the 2nd half of the show, so I’m glad we got a sexy part with her here, she still hasn’t gotten much focus as a character but I’ll take what I can get, hopefully if there’s another season she’ll get the spotlight at some point for more than just being hot af lol. And we finally got some Kotono focus after a while, nice to have here at the end of the show since she was the first one to fall for Arata, and I really liked her moment with Arata along with the flashback scenes, it really paints a better picture on how she came to fall for him in the first place. But man that last scene tho, it might not feel like much of an ending, but Arata overhearing Kotono, Minami and Ouka all openly admitting they love him was a really good bomb drop to end on, our boy was so certain that they remained a solid family right up until that moment lol, and apparently there’s one more pair of real siblings among them? How much you wanna bet that’s the one Arata ends up with lol, now that would be something. And that was it for the “incest harem but not actually, unless?” anime, goofy alt title I came up with but the show is goofy too, so it’s fitting lol. I really enjoyed my time with this one, I went into it wanting to love it because I’m one of the 10 people that loves this author’s previous work, Rent a Girlfriend, and what do you know, I ended up loving it lol. It also helped that this served as an appetizer for the upcoming 4th season of RaG this summer, but here at the end I think this was way more than that, I think it really stands on its own and has the potential to be another fantastic romcom/harem anime, heck I think it already is for me lol. And Doga Kobo really did a masterful job with this, it didn’t need amazing production but it got it anyway, and it really elevated it, it was a downright beautiful show most of the time. And of course I gotta mention the waifus, all of them were great, I don’t really have a best girl because I was holding out on Seiha but it’s hard for me to say she’s best girl when she didn’t get proper focus lol, but really all of them are very nice, you could tell me anyone is your favorite and I’d get it, it has a very similar effect as Quintessential Quintuplets for me because I want them all to win lol. We had a really nice OP and ED in this one too, both fun and catchy songs with beautiful visuals, I will miss Banri’s bouncing baps every week going forward lol. And now I hope this one gets another season one day, I know it’s a newer manga but hopefully that RaG magic can rub off on this one and we get 5 more seasons or something, I sure would love that lol. |

| I liked the fanservice, but I was a bit iffy with the series overall. I felt it was a lot too safe in general. I think it would have been stronger if they went full ecchi, and dialed up the humor. Being reminded "we were siblings" everytime feels redundant. Overall, it was ok. |

| Cute girls in swimsuits is a nice way to end the season. But we did get development with some characters too. Banri more or less admit it, finally. And Ouka and Minami openly admit their own feelings. But now they throw in the twist that there's another sibling pair among them. It has to be someone related to Arata or else it wouldn't make sense. It's a way to eliminate one of the girls without Arata outright rejecting them. If we're going off of looks, Arata and Kotono look like actual siblings. Overall, I enjoyed this one. Visually, it was excellent. Doga Kobo has such a bright and vibrant look to all of their projects, and the art/character designs were all really attractive. The beginning was a little rough, with just how many of the siblings awkwardly started talking about romance all of a sudden. But it mellowed out and there were some genuinely decent character development for a number of characters. Usually for series like these character development isn't very well written, but I found this to be above average. I think my only real issue is just how bland Arata is. He doesn't have any real discerning features or personality, and because of that, a lot of the romance feels kind of hollow. Sure, he always says the right thing, but other than that, he's really got nothing going for him. It's likely he's just a vehicle for the watcher to self-insert themselves in. I just wish he had more personality. Regardless, this was a good one, it was definitely as guilty pleasure of mine and I'd like to see a sequel soon. 7/10 |
| I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of development for Kotono this whole season. She was the first one to confess but after the first 3 episodes she was practically sidelined until this episode. I'm still not too keen on Minami winning and if I'm going to rank them by my choice it will be: Ouka > Banri > Kotono > Minami > Seiha. Would this turn into a full 5 girl harem for Arata? The last line then reveals that there is still a pair of sibling among all of them. Hmm, the best guess I have for this now is Arata & Kotono. If they are the second pair, then this will disqualify Kotono as the Arata's wife in the flashback. Interesting series, I don't mind watching a second season. |

| I'm gonna miss this anime... First, shoutout for Doga Kobo, amazing production that really elevates the scenes. It has some repetitive elements in the story, but in the end, it was a great surprise. MC has to step-up and start to make more action, it has potential for some really good drama and interesting moments. Let's hope Doga continues it in the future! |
| Swimsuits!!! You know, just when I was thinking that if something has to be big it's always the boobs, we got that shot of Seiha's ass... goddamn xD. Man, with how good the visuals of this show are, an episode like this gets even better. Not to mention all those panning shots and close ups... Doga Kobo The GOAT! I can imagine Arata having heart attack after heart attack overhearing three of the sisters confessing their love for him haha. Even Banri tried earlier but it seems to be too early for her turn. And now that it's over, who is my best girl? For me it's a tie between Banri and Ouka. I can see Ouka being the chosen one canon wise though. Then there would be Minami, I loved seeing her act more girly now that she's in love. Not so far behind Seiha, there is definitely something about her that appeals to me. It's funny because at first I thought Minami or Seiha would be my least favorite but it turned out to be Kotono... she's okay. OP was one of my favorites of the season. The song was great and visually I have two moments stuck in my head, Banri's boobs bouncing wildly xD and the part with Ouka running and then swimming. I really liked the OP both musically and visually. ED sung by the seiju was great too. Anyway, I generally like harem anime so one animated by Doga Kobo made me look forward to this show and I think I ended up liking it more than I expected. Between Doga Kobo's visuals, the pretty designs of the girls and how fun the show was... it was great. I'm going to miss this show, hopefully we get a second season. |

What's amusing I haven't seen that show for years. The first thing I thought of after watching the Shuinji Family ending was that show.

| The last episode closed with a flourish, with nothing less than a swimsuit episode. At last the girls stopped hiding their feelings. Kotono, Minami and Ouka decided to confess their love for Arata and compete loyally, while remaining sisters. Poor Arata, just knowing that Ouka was in love with him was already floating and freaking out, but now to find out that three of his sisters have feelings for him? Definitely, that boy is on the verge of a crisis. And wait, there's one more pair of actual siblings? What a way to end it. Overall, it was a solid anime. Beyond the waifus, what really impressed me was the protagonist. Arata is a good protagonist; honestly, it's hard to believe Reiji created him. That contrast is wild: on one hand you have Kazuya, the king of indecision, and on the other, Arata, a high school student who actually behaves with integrity. His reactions are not over the top, even when his sisters openly flirt with him. Of course he gets nervous, but he never gets carried away by lust, but always puts his ideal of protecting his family first. That protective nature never changes, even after the big reveal. His road will be hard. He will learn to return romantic feelings for the girls who were once his sisters... or maybe he will fall in love with someone outside the family, which would be a huge plot twist. For now, Kotono, Minami and Ouka already realized their feelings, but Banri is also starting to show her feelings, and I love that and hopefully she wins. I hope there will be a second season. |

| What a diabolical way to end the season with that hidden message: That among us, there are real siblings.... Now I wanna know what it means and how they will react in this case. Poor Arata did not catch a break throughout this show, trying to be the best older brother just made them more romantically on love with him :} I hope this gets a second season as it had a nice premise and that animation and sounds of this show were amazing. |
