so ye thoughts? what if dragon ball timeline is split in to multiple timelines in the end of daima because of all this ip rights problem of dragon ball? shueisha will continue dragon ball super and the other group with the original producer of dragon ball will continue the dragon ball daima timeline

will you hate that? because for me im fine with it that means all other spinoffs of dragon ball like gt, xenoverse, heroes, legends, fighterz, sparking zero, etc are all canon too because of multiverse with different timelines

if episode 18 rumors indeed is correct that they suspect will have ssj4 then ye this might come true

I hope you’re right about ssj4 in episode 18 because I really want ssj4 in the canon Dragon Ball because it’s better than god, blue, and ultra instinct. As for them splitting up the timeline, I really think that it’s a bad idea because then non Dragon Ball fans who want to get into the series can’t tell what’s canon and what’s not. There’s probably newcomers already who don’t even know how the order goes and which is canon or not. When I got into Dragon Ball, I didn’t know that timeline or what was canon or not, so I had to google it and it was a hot mess to say the least. Google said (in 2023) “Watch Dragon Ball Z Kai then Super.” So I watched Kai then Final Chapters and then Super. Then I was confused and I researched deeper and saw the real timeline and was so mad that I didn’t watch it in order. Most people will google the results and if you add more non canon shows, it mess with the canon. I’m fine with it and most fans won’t care, but it’s hard on newcomers and us fans trying to get people interested in Dragon Ball as a whole because they may feel like it’s too much.

I don't think there will be separate continuity since Daima is heavily connected to Super multiverse. All those people claiming that since Kaioshin and Kibith were already defused at the beginning of Daima, and all other delusional sentence, then obviously Super got canceled because of problem in the continuity they never read Dragon Ball, they don't even know who Toriyama was or how he worked.
Capsule Corp Tokyo should have the rights of animated series, so since Super is an animated series and it is the main source of the latest cour, despite many people seems to not understand that and continue to claim Toyotaro is the future of Dragon Ball, there shouldn't any rights issues. Super saga could either be ended after Super Hero or could be in pause and will continue with other movies or series.
Last thing last, if they really did put Super Saiyan 4 in Daima as fanservice, I swear I will be done with Daima for good. But that's not an issue to me since it's only a claim of the people and seeing how much Akio Iyoku loves the works of Toriyama I think there's no such danger.

Daima already seems to twist the lore established in Z so I would not be surprised. I doubt Toriyama was concerned on consistent writing though. Every series of dragon ball is directed very differently.

The series was already complete or at least almost finished when Toriyama died. That has nothing to do with it. Daima was created for the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball and is a tribute to the original manga with a lot of fanservice (SSJ3 Vegeta, return of the adventure feeling, namekian lore, Ginyu force reference). No "new canon" for the whole franchise is established, and there won't be a second season either. Besides, since when do Dragon Ball fans care about canon? It didn't bother fans to hype up Broly before Super so much that he ended up returning in Super.

Source? The only new thing that I've seen confirmed for Super is the new one-shot coming out in February. There's already misinformation being spread that Toei confirmed Daima and Super are in the same canon.

They are both canon and made by Toryama, so they are the same canon and always have been. Daima retcons a couple of elements but the order was always Dragon Ball Classic + Z > Daima > Super

Anything after Daima and the Black Freeza Saga aka Final Saga most likely won't have been prepared by Toryama, so no matter what Toei or whatever says, hardly anyone would accept it as canon.

it's not really neccesary, even if super saiyan 4 appeared in daima which is chronologically before super could just say that they didn't need to use it later because of super saiyan god and blue, they barely used super saiyan 3 in super too even though vegeta had it according to daima, goku used it once against beerus and then only a one second cameo in tournament of power and that's it

@Elfezen they beraly used ssj3 because its hard to animate that long ass hair. thats the real reason. they could easly come up with some nonesense that goku mastered ssj3 and its no longer drain stamina if they really wanted to use it. which they dont. it would be the same excuse every time they will come up with just so they wont have to animate it or even draw it on manga because this is hard as well.

this is the real reason. this is also why goku wont go ssj3 on daima
