A lot shorther than his previous work

So Oshi no Ko concluded with 166 chapters, while his previous work (Kaguya) concluded with 281(?) chapters.

Makes sense because Kaguya seemed a little episodic, or am I misunderstanding?

Either way, Kaguya is still the best thing that the mangaka has ever made.

18 months ago Aka wanted to abruptly end Oshi no Ko, but the editors convinced him not too. His only point in writing Oshi no Ko was to help the anime. His latest work got the axe, which basically broke him. He’d decided to scorch earth the Oshi no Ko to spite us.

It has been basically confirmed, that Akasaka simply got bored with this series, wanted to conclude it and start working in something else.
He has already announced his new series and it's supposed to start circulating next spring.

Oshi no ko at least needed 20 more chapters for a good ending or two more arcs for it to become a goated series, and no one can change my mind.
