Actually, back in the Owari arc, I had speculated that the writers wanted to save the best for last, and so far this has been almost certainly the case.
Considering the direction of the plot development, this result is repeated again but reasonable.
Morris's sudden decision to retire must have caused Satoshi to postpone his plan to conquer Enigma game.

With the format of Moon Colony Championship that Satoshi showed Sawyer, it certainly wasn't Enigma game, but a tournament with players from all 9 colonies was necessary to introduce all the remaining Colonies rather than the entire series being about just A-3 and A-7.

But with such a large-scale tournament with so many good players, I wouldn't be surprised if this Moon Colony Championship would be as long as the Great Champion Tour (more than 1 cour).
Unless it will end up like Toy World stage, because something appeared at 19:40, and after watching it many times, I can say that it is
. If that's the case, then something terrible will definitely happen during the Moon Colony Championship.

It's a bit strange that the video of episode 78 doesn't include the preview of the next episode when it's supposed to be here. The next episode is called a Special recap, which is actually the first time I've heard of such a thing.

So the show would most definitely take the Ninjala route as in keep showing episodes until they want to finish it on their own terms.

Also it wouldn’t be surprising if AI Da Vinci survived because we didn’t see her get destroyed plus she’s an AI she could transfer her self to something else.

Will we ever learn about why there are colonies on the moon and what happened to the earth?

And what power does Hal have?

Only 22 eps until 100! I'm getting intense!

This show seriously needs to slow down for a bit and focus on developing the characters outside of the games. The great championship tour only just ended and now they’re jumping right into another one because a bunch of unnamed characters we’ve never met have had their egos bruised. I want to see Sawyer and Luna’s relationship develop outside the games for once.

I think Tousouchuu route is different from Ninjala or Pazudora, although it's possible that Fuji TV's producers really liked it but compared to the 2 GungHo anime that still have no direction on how it will end, Tousouchuu clearly has a goal in its plot from the beginning and it's almost there now (Enigma game and Hal's secret). So I'm pretty sure it will end next year, just not sure if it will actually be March or if it will extend a few months after that. The upcoming Moon Colony Championship arc will introduce quite a few new characters so I'm guessing it will have to be about the same number of episodes as the Great Champion Tour arc so i feel like if the show ends in March, it won't be enough for Enigma game.

Speaking of AI Da Vinci, Satoshi actually said that he isolated Penta's Bracelet from the network to trap AI Da Vinci inside, but since she clearly escaped from that Bracelet through the Trigger, logically she should have been able to escape into the network to escape Morris' attack. Otherwise, it would definitely be another silly plot hole.

The hype is real. Paris stage covering 17 episodes is the longest arc yet, but I think it hasn't top Transamerica or Egypt stage yet, but definitely above average stage.

The good news is the next stage is definitely NOT the final stage, which I assume it's Enigma, I also assume Morris will comeback for Enigma stage.

This anime being exactly 100 episodes would put it in the same amount as DQ Dai remake, also by Toei studio. But I think it's gonna be longer than that considering the next stage might take around 15 episodes and Enigma stage might even take up to 20 episodes.

Where do you think in timeline will Sawyer and Luna love confession will happen because the Sigma stealing Enigma will certainly happen at end of Moon Colony Championship.

If it weren’t for the fact that Morris announced his retirement, I would’ve gotten angry, smashed my keyboard and said among the lines of “IT’S NOT FAIR! SAWYER’S THE HERO, HE’S SUPPOSED TO WIN!!!”
But I’m also bewildered by the fact that there isn’t a preview for the next episode, so I guess there’s another season or cour coming or is that it?

Sawyer vs Luna scene in OP seems to take place on Earth and Earth has been hinted to be Enigma stage.

Now looking at that scene it looks like Luna confesses her feelings to Sawyer and it is uncertain whether Sawyer reciprocates her feelings or not. Whether Sawyer and Luna become a couple or not will probably only be answered in the final episode.

Either way, not only has the anime lasted longer than both “Digimon Adventure (2020)” and “Digimon: Ghost Game”, but it’ll probably last longer than “Pokémon: Indigo League”.

You’re probably referring to the Toy World Stage that only lasted the entire first half of episode 47, had no story Synapse of any kind, and only served it’s purpose of kick starting the showdown between Colony A-3 and Colony A-7, aren’t you?
As for the special recap episode, should that be listed as episode 78.5?

Hopefully Sawyer and Luna don’t be a Izuku and Ochako(unless the final manga volume release fixes that.)

Yeah. The special recap wasn't given an episode number so it should probably be 78.5 like you said.

@Minimini-oh Can't believe my prediction was correct, this is Sawyer's 6th losing streak, and how many more losses does it take for him to get Morris position? Luna already had 2 winning history, 1 for her unlucky sister, 2 surrender escape for Penta, the rest 0.

What we learn, new contestants will feature a ninja, a super wrestler with an M logo, and a robot.

The Ninja guy is definitely the most formidable opponent, Sigma was treated as a pastime by him so I think his level is even higher than Yukinojo.
Also, Hunter's fangirl looks so weird that she can't be underestimated.

Of course not, when I say Sawyer's current personality stays the same until the end, I mean he won't end up with anyone. This scenario has happened in many series.
