Wow, this is my first time posting a brand new discussion regarding a series, especially one this old. I clicked on this show as it was being subbed on 9anime because I was bored and just got curious. I'm not sure what is it about this show, but man is it nostalgic. Maruko-chan, despite being a brat and all, is unexpectedly relatable. Her childishness is surprisingly nice, and I was very pleased by the emotional connections this episode built between Maruko and her sister. I'm going to shock myself by doing this, but I'm going to keep watching this random show I picked up. Hopefully, Maruko-chan gets some lasting development through the 100+ episodes (though there are only 33 episodes on 9anime at the moment) and I'll be posting episode reviews for each and every one of these. Look forward to them (if anyone ever reads this please let me know, considering this is a lonely and obscure series) and see you next episode!

P.S. ignore my vote, it was just a test and now I can't change it.
