Accumulating fat offers advantages from an evolutionary point of view because in periods of food scarcity the body can use the accumulated energy resources, almost all species that survived extinction show this characteristic because probably all species undergo periods of food scarcity. This has a lot to do with the solar system, the earth's revolution, the seasons, the plants and fruits available.
In a solar system with multiple suns where night does not exist there is no period of revolution further away from the star or closer this evolutionary trait may not be necessary.
In the collective imagination, elves are creatures who live in symbiosis with nature, they tend to be health-conscious and obesity, on the other hand, is anything but healthy, entails cardiovascular risks, compromises athletic abilities, becoming easy targets for predators or unsuccessful hunters.
On earth only man can afford to be obese, all other species cannot except for temporary periods such as the bear before hibernation or animals kept by humans at home and zoos.
Therefore even elves can become obese especially if they live a lifestyle similar to that of humans by consuming fatty foods and watching TV all day sitting on the sofa. |
