The Shin Tennis no Oujisama: U-17 World Cup Semifinal (The Prince of Tennis: U-17 World Cup Semifinal) special stage at AnimeJapan2024 revealed supporting cast, a second teaser visual (pictured) and a teaser promotional video on Saturday. The anime is set to premiere in October 2024 on TV Tokyo and other stations.

Dankmar Schneider: Fukushi Ochiai (Gurazeni)
Berti B Volk: Tomoya Itou
Ken Lendoll: Chikahiro Kobayashi (Ao Ashi)

Keiichirou Kawaguchi (Sket Dance) is directing the anime at Studio Kai and M.S.C. Mitsutaka Hirota (Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa) is handling the series composition. Akiharu Ishii (Shin Tennis no Oujisama) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director.

The original sports manga by Takeshi Konomi ran in Weekly Shounen Jump between 1998 and 2008. The sequel manga began in Jump SQ. the following year. Shueisha published the 41st volume on March 4.

Spokon's theme is going further and further away, Tennis no Oujisama is now irrelevant.

Oh, its october. I thought it was july but shrug, 2024 it is. Hard to believe it's "only" been 2 years since the last season.

I'll be honest the last season was kinda forgettable for some reason, so hopefully they actually have good stuff this time.

Question is who is gonna face tezuka and volk. Also is it gonna be 12 entire eps just to face the german team, 5 matches each?

The last time we had a match that took more than one episode was ryoma vs yukimura at the very end of the nationals tournament, that was like 15-20 years ago lol.
And the original tv series itself 20-25 years ago.

It says semifinals, so I wonder, if they face germany in the semifinals who is in the finals? Too bad they never got their revenge against swiss, unless its actually swiss in the finals and not usa.
