I am on episode 550 of One Piece, I have heard that this story is about the guy from thriller bark so I think I should be fine. Just want to make sure tho, are there any spoilers/should I wait to watch it?

If your on 550 you’ll be fine. As long as your’ve seen thriller bark theres no spoilers, and even if you haven’t the spoiler really doesn’t matter that much.

ngl this show has basically no one piece spoilers

it’s just a little connection to the show by one character

other than that there’s no haki or any of those things that might give away hints about the series you’re good

the original story was actually created before one piece so it is pretty disconnected to one piece

No not really even though some might consider the last scene between Zoro and Ryuma as spoiler.
