I made this forum so we can pay our respects to the late Toriyama Akira sensei, who was the second pillar of the mangaka industry whose works played a major role in defining our current modern Shonen anime right after the GOD of animanga industry late Takamori Asaki sensei who is famously known for Ashita no Joe.
Without Akira sensei we wouldn't have most of these action powered Shonen anime that we are soo fond of today. As his works played a very major role in influencing other mangaka's story let it be directly or indirectly while also simultaneously shaping the childhood of millions of kids even to this day.

THANK YOU SENSEI...

I wonder how much more of Dragon Ball Super has been planned in advance? I feel that Dragon Ball, like Sailor Moon, is a franchise that is best when its original creator is involved.

Cannot believe it he passed away. Bro impacted manga and changed how it was viewed in japan and how anime was viewed in general as well. My mom, uncle and aunt actually watched dragon ball z and so did I last year. He really was the goat and inspired many mangaka and gave us an iconic manga and many of the anime tropes today. This is too crazy and I still can't believe it. I was looking forward to Daima as Akira Toriyama was personally involved in it and I wanted to see his upcoming projects. Dragon ball won't be the same without his creator, but he left behind an incredible legacy alongside Dragon ball, Dr Slump and Dragon Quest. RIP Akira Toriyama

Rest easy Akita you created a legacy that will continue on as long as this planet continues to flourish, the guy who single handily inspired and motivated loads of Japanese artists to be mangakas which in doing so gave us our favourite series we have come to simp over

Gone sadly, but will never be forgotten. Just because he isn’t here doesn’t mean we can’t remember how he’s changed all of our lives. Gave us the most iconic transformation for a character in anime history. Truly grateful to have lived in this time where I could witness the story he gave everyone.

I don't know much about the Dragon Ball franchise, but one thing I do know that the series has greatly influenced the Action/Shounen genre and shaped it into what it is today.

Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama.
