I suppose this show did not deserve a happy ending. but omg this was such a good episode and a great ending. felt tears in my eyes. atleast David managed to accomplish his dream. for Lucy to be save and to visit the moon. really a great end to this series. and im happy david remained sane

This was a good anime, but the ending wasn't that satisfying...I was hoping David would go down in a even greater blaze of glory.
Maybe blow up some of the araraka building or at least do some perma damage to Adam Smasher.

I guess they were going with a more sensible approach but this whole world wasn't realistic to begin with. Very salty that Becca died too,

I loved the development of the series between each episode but I think the ending was a bit rushed but for having 10 episodes it was very good

It ended on a sad note; however, I also liked how realistic it was when it came to the night city and people's fate. Seeing Lucy missing David was also heartbreaking. :(

both the arasaka counter-intelligence members lived with 0 scratches, cyborg boss lived too with minor scratches
on the other hand, rebecca died, david died too
the fixer didnt suffer as much too
im pissed with how they handled those 4 characters, while our boy died.

I wish they make S2 with david resurrected with some mysterious gear/med with the help of doc or his mom's history in medicine. and they show the 3 living characters the damage they inflicted on em. Ending with a moon date irl.

And you are completely missing the fact this anime was made only to promote the game where you can kill Adam Smasher aka "cyborg boss" as revenge for the deaths of main characters.

Well it was great. I really loved that they didn't pull any punches where it comes to facing the consequences of your actions part that many shows often gloss over.

It was one of the stories of night city where you can expect many more go through, being caught between the aspirations of greedy corporate executives and backstabbing criminals most young people of cyberpunk dystopia could be going through something similar.

It is a dog eat dog world where you got few good people who die young and many evil people who can do anything to get what they want. Pretty similar to real life actually sans the cybernetic implants but who knows how long that would take?

It was pretty good and overall I liked the last 3 episodes of this series in particular. They connected well and actually formed a coherent arc or plot rather than being disjointed self-contained episodes like most of the earlier episodes.

I enjoyed the ending and Adam Smasher cameo, as he is the final boss of the actual game.

The end was very predictable, I saw it coming from a mile away. I quess this was just a "stand-alone" serie without plans for a second season.

But the thing is, you don't really see Adam Smasher killing David. Soon when he pulls the trigger, the screen goes red. You don't see David being hit nor being killed. I assume that he is being killed but that you don't see any aftermath wonders me if Arasaka didn't let him live. He lost his lower body, but the rest seems kinda intact.

Rebecca on the other hand looks very mutilated to a point where she can't be fixed. Her chest is open and she lost part of her head.

In short, I can say that Rebecca is killed but about David, I doubt. I kinda wish that Rebecca survived though.

@Toonen1988 nahhh David was fucked. He 100% died

@spacecobra5 i had no idea about the game story but i get that its a promo. Although you have to agree that they lacked the damage quota for those 2 arasaka counter-intelligence members running the entire ending of show. I dont get it how am i a hollywood zoomer bro the 2nd para was just a joke lol but they could hav done BETTER

Was getting emotional on the last episode but then the story just fizzled out pathetically. David didn't even land one hit on Adam, he just ran and then got his ass beat. His death was so unfulfilling. For me he needed to either survive and live happily ever after or have an epic fight to the death like All Might vs AFO. Somehow Falco and Lucy just drove off and escaped without issue.

Damn the ending hurt. I know it was predictable but I still hoped they let David survive somehow. I don't care if it would've been cringe. At least I wouldn't have felt so empty inside right now...
