How did you feel about the anime ending?
| For me, it was a good ending. Not better or worse than manga. |

| The timelapse at the end of the credits just shows how everything is futile and that we should just live for the moment because inevitably history will repeat itself. Some people may find this to be nihilistic when it's just realistic. War / to make war is an innate human function which provokes change, ironically, only to be repeated over by others in different experiences and circumstance. A bittersweet ending which I personally find more realistic and enjoyable than most. |

| im shocked how standard it was given the backlash it got from the manga, like i was expecting something super out there and polarizing but it was basically one of the most predictable outcomes it could of done with the set up going into it. Outside of some characters like Pieck and Reiner surviving everything was pretty predictable and largely pretty satisfying, some thematic weirdness in a few things but the only part i feel any negativity over is the bird stuff. The resolution basically every character gets is immensely satifying and I do like the overall message that even though humanity is always destined to wind up in these cycles of violence they always rebuild and live on even though i do think the way that was portrayed runs the risk of just sounding more cynical than i think it intended. |

The way I saw it was this- humanity is ever moving towards ways of minimizing strife. Sometimes, by causing others strife. The city in those credits reached new technological heights that weren't seen in the first cycle we saw- even the most advanced countries only had WWII era machinery. The city flourished for some time. Humanity got closer to an answer of a world without warfare. Sure, it happened again, but one step closer to an answer is still an answer. |
| it's basically the same ending as the manga with minor differences but it pulled a code geass which is something that doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth tbh. |
| They actually made it worse than the manga ending with their minor dialogue additions, like Eren saying "Uhhh it just turned out like this cause I'm a big dumb idiot teehee! :P" during Eren and Armin's Paths conversation. I'm astounded. I did not think it would be worse. At no point in my wildest dreams did I imagine that they would actually make it worse. Bravo, MAPPA. |
| I honestly have no idea what's the fuss was about. It's actually a very good ending. |

| It was good, it showed in the credits how humanity even after everyone died there was still conflict and that was done well. |
