Art looks kind of wonky, its something like a Korean anime style that's more polished on representing their standards of beauty but still somehow hold true to the stereotype and reputation of Korean studios not caring about production quality and consistency.

yes it looks wonky

young teen romance genre aside, child grooming in a modern world setting? if you're going to have some time of romantic/sexual degeneracy in your work at least make up an scenario or "excuse" that is at least relatable to the general audience. Like is this crime? is this revenge? is the situation so dire that this is necessary? using the Japanese Burakamin trope coupled with the desires that come with a prestigious family doesn't quite make the cut. Its true due to the vile family register system the Japanese use that this is commonplace but in using a stereotype to compensate weak writing is rather lazy and highly discriminatory. That's like saying the yakuza are somehow incapable of moral standards. Or someone from Alabama surely must've committed incest at some point at their lives, just because.

Just like 50 shades of grey and the twilight movies, they're just really bad writing.

People reaching out and projecting too much about the grooming, most doesn’t even hold it definition to relevancy, making up new “meaning” and terms to fit certain narrative instead.

Twitter mob mentality at its finest.

yeah this shits is ass, I watched this out of spite. I thought people were over reacting. They are not. Still will watch it though.

The art is alright, like a typical seasonal anime. I don't have problems with it.

Literally not grooming, by definition. Also, the dude "raises" her as a Yakuza lackey, not any sort of legitimate guardian. lol
If you reply back to me and I never respond, I lost interest and don't care. Sorry about that.

@Mainnus i don't think you can really call it reaching when its pretty much explicitly implied in the plot outline. there's no ands, ifs, or buts about it, its a teen heartthrob romance that is attempting to garnish its notoriety on the fact of its novelty. It is exciting as an idea because its not normal, it is exciting because its taboo. take traditional porn for example, since males value the act of sex and the majority of porn is catered to a male demographic, the story isn't the actual focus and which is why most lack development in those elements. they are a terrible representation of what sex is and sexual relationships really are like and how they function in reality. that's why we call it "unhealthy". Like i stated with examples before, there is a genre of literature that does the same thing for women but focus on a spectrum of emotions, you can wall it "woman's" romance or "woman's fiction" but it is essentially the same thing, a warped and distorted depiction of romance catered to the female tendency to live out their emotional fantasies. It is not healthy either and shouldn't be in the same genre or time slots with shows your kids watch. the problem isn't that it is fetishising an ideal of grooming, which it definitely is for the sake of its plot line, the problem people have with it why is this on tv like everything else? its mascarading as a high school romance when it clearly isn't primarily that.

@chenfeng There's tons of fetishes in anime, and sexualizing minors is fairly common, maybe you should switch to western television?

@LostSpectre and those anime have their twitter fallouts and outrages, what is your point? people cant have an opinion these days? i don't care that this is a fetish anime but i do believe there should be a specific tag or identifier for it for the general public is all. this like all the rest we consider "trash" shouldn't be in the mainstream or normal broadcast times/channels
