Haven't read the source material, I've put bellow in spoiler only because I reference code geass/death note episodes 1 and also if you haven't seen episode 10 yet.

If you read the source material please don't reply, I wouldn't want actual information that we don't know yet about her powers. I clearly made this up and am pretty sure this won't be a direction the story will be taking. Just a fun possibility to think/talk about

It seems like it is a mind control ability, that requires a target to be asleep, but does not require a direct eye contact. Makes sense why her mother would want to seal it, because in wrong hand it is a dangerous weapon.

The flaw or drawback as explained by a user above me is that she can only use it while the target is sleeping and dk about this but I think she also needs to sleep ie. a condition for the ability to work, which in my opinion is quite a drawback compared to other characters like lelouch but still she can literally alter the targets memory or brainwash them or see the future or past which is quite OP and coupled together with her fiance's ability; its a match made in heaven..! Looking forward to more! :) btw if someone can give some interesting LN spoilers then he can reply.. Idc..:)

Ong imagine she joins the side of those e veil ghost that got released from the grave despite not being able to see them but see them in her sleep. She could kill and make immense havoc a final battle between the once loving couples have a fight.
