Why such comments about Gear 5? Designwise, it looks very unique, memorable, fitting for Luffy, and overall, like a future iconic shounen transformation. Just like Super Saiyan.

Even Looney Tunes comments are kinda weird, because, IMO, Luffy WAS always in a way silly cartoonish character while still grounded at the same time.

because a lot of one piece fans are edgy and thought the show was dark and serious. I found his transformation hilarious and fitting for a clown like him
