Hidive Translation Mistake In Episode 1

Saw this on nyaa and thought I should share it. Not sure how to upload a picture so I will write his comments here.

One translation mistake I’ve found at about the 3:30 mark, “What? This situation, this is not how the childhood memory scene that I saw in the game went.” The character uses the words “ja nai” which the translator mistakenly takes as a simple negative… The true meaning of the spoken japanese is actually the exact opposite: “What? This situation… this is exactly like the childhood memory scene I saw in the game, isn’t it?
and again, at 4:32-34, she says “Tte! Manma no ima no joukyou ja nai!” and they mistranslated it as “That’s not the situation right now!” when it should actually be the exact opposite: “Wait, that’s this exact moment/situation, isn’t it!”
So we have a character who uses the “isn’t it!?” expression a lot, maybe, and a translator who is taking it to mean a simple negative statement, when it’s actually a question form meant to express frustration or disbelief…

after the translation blunder in spy classroom, i have little to no confidence in their translation. although at least this time they tried to translate instead of making up words.
