Anyway, I haven't heard of
Emo Analysis before seeing this thread, so I don't have an opinion. However for the sake of argument and properly posting onto the thread, I've decided to give a few of his videos a try, and... well I'm sure that people will benefit from someone taking certain aspects from very specific anime and turning them into self-help tips that one can apply to their lifestyle, but I guess I'm just not the target audience for this. His
first video is just one minute of text-to-speech telling you to basically read books while Death Note music is playing in the background of what is a clip show made by some diehard Ayanokouji simp; that was from nine months ago though, so I tried some more recent ones.
His video on
Ayanokouji's thought process is just some more text-to-speech, and unfortunately the generic editing and music in it doesn't stop me from zoning out despite all the flashy filters put over anime footage. His video on
Light Yagami has a less-distracting text-to-speech, but still has the same general underwhelming and near-AI-generated vibe with "spooky" music I've heard on other YouTube videos and general tips that don't actually seem related to Light's actions in the series and can be stuff anyone can look up on the internet. His latest video,
another Ayanokouji shill video made 3 weeks ago, seems to have a bit of actual personality in the beginning with self-awareness and a bit better editing style, but I'm still not really sold on the whole text-to-voice speech thing.
I haven't watched/read
Classroom of the Elite and I'm not that super crazy about
Death Note, so I guess I'm really not the target audience for what seems to be a self-help channel themed around impossibly-smart (probably) Gary Stu characters. I'm sure people could benefit from a channel like this, but I personally like video essays that really show what the person behind the voiceover is like through their voice inflection, word choice, and talking about things that they know and/or like in a way that seems genuine. I don't really watch self-help channels, but I do think a channel like this could work if it was more like
Cinema Therapy. I suppose the best thing about the channel is that they don't spam you to click the like and subscribe button a ton of times or through some hype cringe voice or something.
Continue to improve on your mental health OP, がんばろう!
you're right his AI voices are kinda annoying. But I personally found his latest ayano video kinda amazing. I wanted to know if someone else's onto this (thanks for sharing your thoughts 👊)
