| I've seen this probably only once before with Fruits Basket OP1 "Again" (Beverly). Both were solid for the most part. I'm still not gonna listen to either's vocals on repeat for the most part unless it's to finish Season 1. Just give me a violin orchestra and I'm good to go. |

Not a shitty cover or even worse, some garbo dub remake. Original is way better but for a translated song to other language it's decent enough. Even the translation is on point. Some things are altered solely to keep the song sound almost identical, but it doesn't make me cringe like other songs done this way so it's already a big achievement and I can appreciate the effort they put into this. It still doesn't change the fact that original Japanese version is just better. |

Though, I still like japanese ver more because I'm a sucker for JP language. |

| I don't know who told Yoasobi "guys, what if you release all your songs but in english", but I feel it so unnecessary. I'm not saying english version are bad or something :( Their original versions are good enough... |
| Both sound good to my untrained ears. However, I feel like that the flow, wording and grammar of the official lyrics wasn't as smooth as the cover sung by Will Stetson. A part of me wished that Ikura sang the lyrics written by sayriris for that cover instead of coming up with their own wording. Not to say the official version is bad. It's just that meaning of some of the lyrics hits harder for the Will Stetson cover. Then again, English ain't Yoasobi's first language, so I won't be too harsh on their official take. |
