So this is basically a revenge story but i'm very curious if he is ever going to start focusing on things other than "Ai" and his vengeance, and start to see there are more things in life. I want him to explore himself even though he did have a life previously.

i mean you are watching a show about 2 siblings deeply obsessed with their mother, I don't know what you expected tbh, but tbf it can get annoying. If I'm not wrong soon when X thing happens he will chill for a bit with all the revenge thing, I can't really explain much more because without spoilers you won't understand xd

I hope he doesn't end up getting revenge after all, someone wasting his second chance at life solely to get revenge is very depressing to me

You will probably feel the opposite when the anime catches up with the manga lmao.
Also there are a lot more characters left to introduce appart from kana so don't worry about it getting stale or boring.
But tbh it's kinda sad to waste a second chance on revenge.

Really no imo, but he's not really the best character anyways. He just stays an edgelord throughout. Although it kind of seemed like his character was progressing for a while but after 30 or so chapters the plot decided to fuck that

yeah the only thing I didn't quite enjoy about the manga is how little character development there is from both siblings up to the last chapters, the characters tha do develop for the greater good are supporting cast like kana and akane.

this is not some edgy revenge type show, in this show yes they are try to get a revenge(ruby also), but they also try to enjoy their own life by doing what they love, acting and idol, and in the future you will see so many thing about behind the scene of entertainment industry like struggle of live action manga adaptation, cancel culture, struggle being director, and so many thing mix with mystery finding out of their father.

so finding out of their father is not the whole plot in this show. but you gotta stop watching it if you don't want to watch aqua seek the revenge because he never stop to find out about his father.

Oh if that's the case i'll continue! I was just worried that was the only thing Aqua will be concerned about and he will be doing nothing else he actually likes or finds himself interested in.

l really love aqua, in future you will know him better and in one scene even make me tears little bit, you will find out that he literally has PTSD about Ai death, so that is another reason why he want to get rid his father.

aqua is similar to a supporting protagonist. he's used to help the other characters grow while the story still revolves around him. but he's not exactly one since he does get development just not nearly as much as the other characters. best example of a supporting protagonist is saitama

yeah he does have development but and his main conflict is the fact he is learning that life has value. But recently he kinda turned back around and is back to square 1

Kana character progresses in later chapter but tbh, Akane character doesn't really develop that much. I mean we got some of her character exposition on
but in term of 'development' I hardly see the different in her from end of her arc to the latest chapter (115).

Kana only the hand got her character development in later arc she seems to progress emotionally and she also has a clear purpose lately.
Ruby got her transformation which I'm really interested in the conclusion of her transformation. But for Aqua he has a bit of progress on his life purpose although somehow it got reset back to revenge.

Well, short answer, Yes.

Long answer, to be honest, he doesn't so much change, as he does shows his weaker side and, as the ED demonstrates, he'll be willing to give up everything for the people he cares about/loves, IE, Ruby, and a couple of characters later down the line.

I love how in this story about a doctor beeing reborn as the child of his favorite Teen-Idol everyone is still expecting good character writing, tho xDD

My guys....this series is made for spicy, little moments like "Oh god, Im a grown man, but Im having a bath with my Mommy right now"
It's not that deep or meant to be this grounded, profound story, I think^^
