I don't really care what happens in the LN

The anime is adapting from the Light Novel, so what is in the source material is going to be in the second season regardless. Plus, stating a simple fact about the light novel isn't ultimately going to ruin the experience.

So LN readers here, inclucing myself, are here to debunk your statement, while not necessarily spoiling it. Look what i said, there's no actual spoilers on it (can't say the same thing about one or two users who couldn't spoiler tag it). You just reap what you sow, no hate though

The thread was started discussing points shown so far in the ANIME to formulate a hypothesis about what could actually be happening, which would explain a lot of things. Why he's so overpowered. Everything always seems to go his way. Why he seems to be able to shape the world. Even his lies end up turning out to be true.

Using "facts" from ahead in the story from another source (the LN) is a spoiler. It adds information that hasn't been presented in the anime, which is by definition a spoiler.

Say you're discussing whether a character's eyes will be revealed to be green or blue in a game (it's a somewhat important plot point for some reason), and you discuss information that has been presented so far to argue that they are blue. Then I chime in "I worked on the DLC (I've been a game tester for 10+ years) and it's proven they are definitely not blue."

I didn't tell you outright that the character's eyes are green or how it's learned, but you now know something happens that reveals it, will be expecting it, and that they will be revealed to be green, which is a spoiler.

Actually yes it will. If I cared about what happens further in the story, I would have read the LN myself and had those questions answered already. I didn't read the LN because I didn't want that and instead chose to follow the anime and speculate based on the information presented in the anime so far.

Stating a "simple fact" that happens in the LN does ruin the experience. Not only has that information not been shown yet in the anime, but it's information from volume 4 of the LN, which also spoils events from the LN had I (or anyone else) decided to pick it up at some point.

EDIT:

So spoiling is ok because it's going to happen in the second season, which hasn't been released yet. Yeah, that makes a whole lot of sense.

Thanks for the spoiler, but he's dead in his original world. How can he go back? Unless the whole story is taking place as he is dying and he's imagining the whole thing.

Yes because i know that this is an anime thread and that you're an anime only watcher i specifically avoided any sort of "description of an important plot development" from my message. If simply mentioning that a certain series is indeed an isekai series because i said that it isn't and you'll know why from a certain volume, then i'm sorry for that and i'll avoid "spoiling" anything to you from now on. I know some users here flat out spoil what happens in volume 4 of the LN, that is not my problem, but still that's unfortunate since you actually got spoiled on an event later on

Though the example you used with a character's eye being a certain color's not the best in this type of context. Especially because, "whether a character's eyes will be revealed to be green or blue in a game" isn't the same as "whether Eminence in Shadow's an isekai or not", it isn't a mystery. It's already been confirmed. Let's say for example, this drink has 0 calories on it, but then find out it isn't and actually has calories, it'd be false advertisement and is ultimately going against a law

Who let this mf cook??

This is almost as bad as those morons who crusade for that weirdo Overlord theory. Something something Touch Me was actually in the New World all along and he just watches as Ainz/Momonga conquers the world, only to eventually throw a fit and wreck everyone. Peak senseless headassery from bandwagoners with a raging hard on for the “justice” that makes them feel ever the slightest bit less insignificant

Not the same comparison. One's literally still a mystery no matter if its just in the game/show (bc maybe in the og source its alr revealed), its still a mystery in some way. While one's obvious, not a ???, or plot twist or whatever you think of. "Everyone just assumes this is an isekai, but it's not. They trick you into thinking it is, but there are signs that prove that it's not. There's no reincarnation either" There's literally an 'isekai'  and 'reincarnation' tags in this ANIME info. See? Dont blame others who told you the info that's alr IN the ANIME page. Bc its YOU who just going on about kinda useless theory.

You are the one who started 'theory' that's the answer is alr there. Of course others will come at you confirming things or else you'll just gonna spread misinfo, bc you didnt even wanna add smth like "my opinion tho" in the first place. You said it like it is facts. Its not "everyone just assumes" its you who "imagines" things.

"How can he go back? Unless the whole story is taking place as he is dying and he's imagining the whole thing" And yet you still going with 'its all imagination'πŸ—Ώ

For instance, the food appearing in this imagined world is because he knows of these things and his struggling brain is jumbling these memories into this imagined world. He assumes "I must have told X about this" to try to make sense of it. Because he assumed and he subconsciously controls the world he created, it becomes fact without him realizing or even having to question anyone about it.

Also this. What? He assumes "I must've told XXX"? Which eps? Do we watch the same show? Bc when smth thats in his world suddenly exist in his NEW world, he straight up assuming there's another reincarnation. Literally not "I must've told XX". Bc when I watched those scenes, I literally went "WhaδΈ€? How can you not think that its all your subordinates doing using your infos?!". He didnt even think about that
