| I expected an ending like that. Lack of a happy ending is a bit of a genre staple for these urban dystopian sci fi things or cyberpunk as people like to call them. |

| I think it just needed a couple more episodes for everything to play out more smoothly. Perhaps the high-octane fast-paced thrill-ride was always the intention, but I still think a bit more time to flesh out this story (even though it's a pretty simple one), could've benefit the ending feeling maybe a little less rushed, and sudden. I'm not complaining about what happens specifically, but I would've like the build-up to that point to be more steady and gradual ("steady" is an oxymoron for this show though, nothing about it is steady lol), and then the ending would've hit even harder. It clearly has hit hard for many people, but I feel there was quite some room for improvement and potential for deliver even more substantial blows to the gut. Would've love 12 episodes, but hey not many anime have 10 episodes so that makes it feel even more special I guess. |
