What happens in Bocchi's solo in the final ep?

During Bocchi's solo her guitar's E string breaks and while she tries to fix it the peg for her B-string also breaks. Her solo starts, Kita is ad-libbing because Bocchi wasn't playing and then Bocchi takes the bottleneck, plays with it and somehow that fixes her problems? Can anyone explain how that works?

Playing bottleneck doesn’t fix her problems, but she can still play. Basically, she couldn’t play the song normally because her chords broke, so she used some other technique to play.

She improvised a completely different solo with another technique with what she had available. Listen to the original track and you'll figure out what changed.

Well, this enters into some music theory that I am not willing to explain. But what bocchi did was basically play a slightly off tone solo without the E string with the help of the bottleneck. It was actually inspired by a irl simillar situation, if you are wondering if it can be reproduced.

You don't even have to know anything about guitars to understand she improvised with a sliding technique, and drunk girl stated as much.

They explain it in the show but whatever. String broke, couldn't do normal solo, plus another string got out of tune. The slide made being in tune less important.

The shot cup basically makes an effect in the guitar, it can work with almost anything because the e guitar sound comes from the pickup not from the actual guitar like an acoustic would

guitar sliding doesn't really need tuned string
as long as you can estimate how it sounds and what notes that fit the chords
somehow you just act like playing a fretless guitar

You can play slide on an acoustic as well. Hell slide was being played before electric guitars were invented
