| Many of my character submisions had their picture removed for having "some blur". Is there some new internal rule that says that lower quality pictures are better than literally no picture at all? I would like for the mod to realize that sometimes there there is just simply no better picture available, especially when the character is from a light novel with scarce character illustrations. Character entries without a picture only have a sliver of usefullnes than those which do. As much as I would have liked to solve this to a PM, the db mod in question (@FuusenkazuraDied), has locked messages, which too is not exactly ideal for communication about submissions, and making a forum post pretty much the only way to communicate this. Many of the submision had also for incomprehensible reason reduced the character description from paragraphs to a single line, again hurting the completeness of MAL's database in the process. Lately it seems like database mods are doing their all to upset the database submitting community in as much ways as possible. I would like that to not be the case, but it really drains our willingness to keep helping with the site. |

| I had the same problem with same mod! And I have been submitting pictures for characters and people since, like, 2009, and always try to upload content with as good quality as possible. I don't know what is up with this FuusenkazuraDied guy, but he has no idea what he is doing. And yes, on top of all that, he blocked every way to contact him back. |

| @tingy These three just got their pictures denied, despite the pictures being screenshots from the official manga source (ComicWalker), in other words currently the best available resolution unless someone buys a physical copy and rescans the original release in high resolution themselves. | If I'm being completely honest, I liked FuusenkazuraDied's work as a mod. Yes, he can be a real stickler when it comes to picture quality, but in my opinion he made up for that with his efficiency. Me and some of my other DB teammates got quite a bit of work done on the site thanks to FuusenkazuraDied's work ethic. Since he stopped working on the queue, I've noticed a considerable slow-down to the progress of a lot of things I've been inputting. I hope he isn't kept away forever, I liked having him around. The one thing I would agree that was mildly frustrating to deal with was having no form of contact with him whatsoever. Trying to avoid recurring issues was downright impossible since there was no communication or elucidated feedback on what to do and what not to do. If I'm not mistaken though, that seems to have changed as his dms are now open. That alone would be enough to clear up a lot of the main concerns I had with him, otherwise I don't mind working with him at all. |
