I have watched this anime at least 30 times but still can't figure out who I like the most ??πŸ˜…
Light or L.....

If you ask me I like L but still wanna go with Light.... I don't know why but you can say I kinda get attached with Light...
So my vote is for Light... Whom do you guys like let me know in the comment section....

Also, Death Note is the only manga/anime where fandom is divided into 50-50

I like L more because he was significantly smarter than Light. L deduced very quickly that Light was Kira with little to no help.

Light was almost caught multiple times when he had the power of the death note while being completing anonymous. It’s almost frustrating seeing people call Light a genius when he got away with so many massive mistakes throughout the show that ultimately went unnoticed.

Pretty much for that reason alone I prefer L greatly over Light.

I think L is more likable and intriguing, but Light is definitely a better-written character. The story of Death Note revolves around Light and his descent into madness, and like it or not, L is simply a plot device and an obstacle to challenge Light's warped perception of justice. Therefore, L is a less developed character and is only there to be an opponent to Light and to make the show interesting, which isn't a bad thing because L is great in the role he is given, but Light just has way more depth than him so I'll have to go with him.

but either way, light threw him off, enough to defeat him, therefore light really is better

if it's who's a better character, i think they are equally interesting and necessary to the story (obviously). i kinda wish we could see more about L in the show but i love him a lot nonetheless. i personally prefer Light though. he's very dynamic and unique character, especially looking at a lot of other animes. i chose that i love both 😹

L, why L because he suspected light to be kira but didnt focus on it as he was "my first friend" thats what made him look human,trying to solve the case and trying to make the good win, while light was a monster all along no feelings no regrets he just wanted to acomplish his goal making him look like a demon

L is the more enjoyable character imo. He's not morally perfect by any means nor innocent, but he was at least a better person and he was more fun to watch. Plus unlike Light he didn't have supernatural help, so his intelligence was the only thing that carried him through the Kira case.

I kind of think L is smarter, his side is harder and the way he handles it is more interesting to watch.

In the end of the day he just figured out it was Light early enough. That could be it for the show, but others did not trust him enough and that allowed Light to win in the end.



Light on the other hand gets too many convenient plot devices to help him along the way.

They could have made Light fight another Death Note user, like Lelouch fought Mao, but alas. They just made Misa Misa join him instead.


Death Note use rules so conveniently allowed Light to relinquish it and forgot all what he done with it, so he could trick L. Learn to write better.
