As for the question yes it is most of the old anime are tbf mostly either bc of the animation or it's length

I actually enjoyed the 3 arcs more then dark tourterment, I felt the dark tournament pacing was sooooooo slow but I loved the story and power ups.

I agree it deserves more love, the animation is the only thing that is lacing.

The manga is very good. The anime is too slow, I mean not well made enough to justify the slowness.

I'd love to see more people get into it. Rewatched it recently and the story held up as expected though the perv stuff felt dated

I'm in the minority but I'm really looking forward to the JPN Netflix adaptation

Wouldn't call it underrated since it's regarded as something of a classic, but yeah it's fantastic. One of my favourites. Love it so much I've got two shirts of it.

its called a classic anime. old but gold. it'll age good. hopefully we get a remake in the future but we may never get the good voice actors. all could go wrong so its best left untouched. time does no damage to this anime.

yuyuhakasho is my favorite anime for personal reasons, but those reasons aside it's still top 10 for me and I've seen over 250 anime. As for whoever said the dark tournament arc is to slow, that's like my favorite arc so I can't relate. Top 3 best tournament arc for sure in all of anime in my opinion.

I would say that the majority of people who have watched it, have thoroughly enjoyed it. However, a lot of viewers who haven't watched much older anime are a little hesitant to start it due to its age, which is pretty sad.
