I doubt it's lost media, the problem is that Vita emulation is the pits and nobody cares about it, the CFW scene is uber niche for Vita as well and a pain to set up, it's more about the 3DS and Switch, which have decent emulation already. They'll pop up as soon as people give a rat's ass about it.
