Its a great masterpiece. Yeah I really felt sad that Mel died earlier than Kain but then its all in it. The story just keep on going until Kain finally died. Its a heart warming story. I love it xDD

I loved this story a lot. Loved the characters and I simply wanted Kain and Mel to be happy. There were many points where it tugged at my heart and made me want to hold my partner, but in the end, I was very pleased with how it turned out and loved how strong their love was. I hope that my love grows as strong as theirs one day.
I really loved Erica as a character, I do wish we got to know them a bit more, but from what I learned, she didn't care what others thought about her dads and knew they were in love and nothing else mattered.
Half of me wish there was an anime, but half of me am not sure how that would turn out.

I cried so hard. Though I was hoping for an ending not like this. I hated that they ended a manga I had been reading in a similar fashion, so this upset me. Then again, the guy in that manga was immortal, so he'd never see his wife again. At least this way Kain and Mel get to be together in the end. Oh no. The tears are coming again. Must not cry. Must. Not. Cry...

when i started this manga was so boring i almost dropped it but it turned out very very good
interesting and realistic plot, the problems and difficulties gay couple face in society were well handled especially to the time period it was created in
and the ending for our main characters was so tragic yet so beautiful
definitely worth a read

This exceeded my expectations! My heart sank and I shed a few tears when I read about Mel's passing. The ending was absolutely beautiful when Mel came to get Kain's soul when he passed on. Such a great story. It should become an anime!

I have very mixed feelings about this manga... I liked it enough but once Mel got kidnapped and the whole Joey stuff started happening it lost me. The manga was strong already without it. I didn't see any meaningful narrative for it and thought this was just more torture porn featuring poor Mel. Instead of fast-forwarding through everything that it did in this last chapter, the manga should've just taken the time to focus on that and dedicated more chapters to it instead. This story was pretty grounded, but I enjoyed it less and less the more and more it lost that lifelike quality.
