Could this surpass Castlevania, Invincible, and Arcane in terms of sheer popularity and critical acclaim?
| These three were the biggest pieces of animation back in 2021 and managed to get anime fans saying "it's better than every anime". In addition to that, they've all been responsible for bringing non-animation fans into the western animation medium, so do you think csm will be able to do the same? More importantly, will it be more popular and receive more acclaim than those three shows? I'm guessing being better than Arcane is a stretch, but it could very well beat Invincible and Castlevania. |
| I've watched Arcane, And I can say that shit was gold. And I do think that CSM can be just as popular as it is, at the first episode itself. I'm expecting fans go crazy and score a 10 and the average score be like 9.5 or something, just when 1 episode has aired. Then again, Non-Japanese crowd can be too particular about morality and go about criticizing it. But who cares about them? |

| Didnt watch castlevania but damn arcane was f*cking amazing, invincible was also good. It will take much more from gore and blood to surpass arcane atleast for me. Arcane popularity was insane, let's see if CSM can surpass it but i am sure CSM will easily surpass invincible in terms of writing and popularity, the animation already looks better than that show. |

I mean they threw a fit over spy x family for something that isn’t even worse than the type of gag you’d see in something like “The Simpsons”. That being said, Denji is socially underdeveloped due to years of isolation and he never acts on anything without consent. And the relationship between him and Makima isn’t seen in a positive light; it’s a far cry from say something like the grooming in Fruits Basket. I was more creeped out by Jinx and Silco’s relationship in Arcane tbh. I definitely think the nudity will be criticized for sure, but it’ll probably won’t be criticized to the extent of something like “Made in Abyss” or even “Demon Slayer” for that matter. I don’t think that makes it too anime-y tbh. I mean Game of Thrones and Euphoria have all manner of problematic stuff in them and they aren’t anime. |

Then add some of the most boring character writing ever in the mix and you truly have a mid story that can't do a single thing right except "bE mAtUrE" cause there was one threesome scene offscreen, friend of a main character that is gay and a love interest that is black (basically a Pixar movie level of writing). if you already like to jerk off to shitty superhero deconstruction movies just read or watch the original Watchmen and you'll have material to jerk off for eternity |

| most likely not since those were all in mainstream streaming services, being Netflix and Prime. Chainsaw man being on crunchyroll already limits its potential to only anime fans. Not saying it couldn’t happen but if this were to simulcast on Netflix then I could see it happening. |

| Yes, and it will. Are you even serious? Barely anyone talks about those series compared to what is going to go down with Chainsaw Man. Also Arcane is awful, as is League itself. |
