| I don't think Haine and Hiruko-sama are the same thing. From what I gathered, Haine is the servant of Hiruko. And Hiruko is indeed not that powerful, but she still is powerful, not to mention that she had eaten right before starting to attack Shinpei and Ushio. |

| It’s because when Hiruko uses Haine’s body she is weak, they mentioned it in the 12th episode that she had to find a new body to be able to move without restrictions and she took shiori’s one so basically Hiruko when she’s haine -> weak body Hiruko when she’s shiori -> strong body because shiori is her new obtained body and she has been “haine” for centuries so that body got weakned |

Allright, I have reason to re-watch 12th episode, thanks! no problem! It’s right in the beginning of the episode when Tokiko says that Hiruko’s main body is weakened (haine) and she needs a replacement, then she transforms into shiori |
