With the season already finished, is it better to start reading the LN or the Manga?
(And why?)

The LN is the actual source. The manga currently has only adapted a couple more chapters than the anime. Go with w/e you want.

The Manga is definitely a high quality material if you are planning to read it from start. work up till chapter 38(Anime ends at page 19 of this chapter) and then start with Light Novel volume 3.

Reason being, the manga is not far ahead. Around 44 chapters are published in the manga and 43 chapters are translated as of now.

The light novel is very interesting and you'll really enjoy reading it. (I used to sit till 4 AM reading it).

The LN. It’s the source material. Visually, the art style of both is vastly superior than their anime counterpart, however, the main issue lies with the fact that manga is not that far ahead compare to the anime.
In the middle of the introduction of the arc that goes immediately after the anime’s ending so you would not be progressing in the story whatsoever. The LN would be the best choice.

You're forgetting the anime completely cut half of chapter 36 and 37 of the manga. Leaving out a lot of important information.

Manga didn't finish the 3rd volume yet, so you better go for LN or stuck waiting years for the first game conclusion

I did mention "Planning to read from the Start".

If you mention it like that, Then the anime has skipped a lot from the beginning.

It's always better to read the LN instead of the manga.

Manga adaptation of LNs tend to cut a lot of the dialogue and narrative so that it can fit in the manga "text box format", it also never helps that most of them are far behind the LN release, meaning it's very unlikely you'll ever see the end of the story with them, just look at how the Toradora manga is still going when the LN has ended for years.

LN.

Manga is good adaptation, design and pacing wise, but is not that far above the stopping point of anime. And is monthly, probs going to take way over a year to end the next arc, who is considered by most as the best one (V3).

Ofc, you can just read the manga, who is a better adaptation of the LN than the anime, until the most recent chapter released, and then switch to the LN later on, if you don't feel like waiting.

Yes and no. Sometimes manga are better in details and plot than light novel.
