RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 1-3 will early broadcast on June 24-26

The first 3 episodes will RWBY: Ice Queendom will stream on YouTube but it'll available only in Japan on June 24. But, for international release the first 3 episodes will release on Crunchyroll and Aniplus (Maybe the Korean one, I'm not sure if it's Aniplus Asia or Korea) at the same day.

From what I understand the first two episodes will be recaps of volumes one and two, maybe three. With that said assuming those episodes do a good job setting up the universe for newcomers you should be fine. Though I do recommend giving the original series a shot if you have the time.
