I think I started this in middle school. I really liked it before, so I check once in a while... but wow it comes out so slow.

Hello, same here. Skip Beat was one of my first animes and I watched it when I was 11-12 years old. I cannot stress enough how much of an impact Kyouko has made on me. She was so different from other Shoujo/Reverse Harem/Live triangle/Romance FLs (at the time, those genres were the only ones I watched and later on I would introduce myself with Shounen/Gore/Slice of Life/ etc...) that pushed me to look out for more female characters like this.
Kyouko's desire to get revenge was not only original (and a real force that can drive someone to acomplish things) but also something that I could emphatyse with a lot.

So sorry for the randomly super long comment. But I recently saw an image of Skip Beat and honestly I want to binge watch the entire thing again. It's so nostalgic.

I read the manga right after the anime aired in 2008.
And I am still right here; waiting for new chapters.
I had to give myself breaks from time-to-time since reading a few chapters in a row made me frustrated for more.
Finally read until the end (thus far) the other day.

I really wonder if this manga is ever going to end. I hope not; but who knows? Really curious to see what way it is heading.

Hahaha... I wonder the same thing, sometimes. Let's hope this author doesn't die on us like the Berserk writer did.

I've only heard of Skip Beat once the anime came out. But to put things in perspective - I was a high school freshman, back then. Now, I'm 30. Some of the older people are even in their 40s by now, and they were around earlier than me! Some have quit anime and manga since and will never see the ending, regrettably.

I don't delve into this manga yet merely because of its massive length and that there's no ending in sight. But I am willing to read it after it ends.

In the beginning, I used to buy manga magazines to read the stories, but I didn't think they would last this long. Now I no longer buy magazines, but I have read the latest issue of the book. The pace is slow, but since a manga book is released once a year, I would like to follow it until it is completed.

I first read Skip Beat when I was in high school and I am now working… I am waiting for everything to be complete first because I can’t stand waiting 🥺 does it look like it’ll end anytime soon?
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down

I've been reading Skip Beat since around 2005, I think. I rarely read manga anymore (only if I really like the anime), but Skip Beat remains one of my favorites, I haven't given up yet!! Happy waiting everyone~ I really hope they will decide to reboot the anime when the manga is finished

Judging by the pacing of the story so far, the ending is still far-off.

I kind of want it to be finished soon and get the HEA, but I also want it to last forever 😭

I started it in 2006, I was 12, and next year I'll be 30, and I'm still waiting for Kyoko and Ren to officially be together. So, I feel you.

I am always hoping for this! My favourite Skip Beat content is what happens after what is adapted in the anime 😭

I have no idea when i started with this... maybe in 2015? After i finished the anime. But it is not as long as some suggest. It is not even 50 volumes yet. It simply publishes slowly. I am not eager to see it end, because i know that i will be frustrated by the ending, and there are still a mountain of interesting things to tell. I am not in it for the romance, but for the acting aspect (this is why i know i will be frustrated). I am now 42... i don't spend much time with anime/manga anymore, but "Skip Beat" is the one is still come back to once a year. But it seems like there is no scanlation team working on it anymore. And the chapters after the 300 are pretty much impossible to understand because of hapazard translation and very low quality scans. This means that if the manga is not published in your home country and you have to rely on scanlation, it may become difficult to read it in the future.

Is one of the first manga I read looking for the author started with Tokyo Crazy Paradise loved it and started this. Remember, being so excited now it was being published in English and asking my library to buy it surprisingly they did . I can’t remember how many times I have been through binge read it over and over again and enjoyed it. It does bring back nostalgia reading something for so many years but they were enjoyed.
