Thoughts on the new character?

What did you all think of the new character, Ooshiro, introduced in the latest episode? Personally, I found her pretty annoying and thought she took away from the awesome dynamics between the two main characters. Hopefully we’ll start to get a character arc for her and the cast will interact more seamlessly.

she has attachment issues with aharen and any small gesture aharen shows her is like she was gifted by God lol. but I get it, must protect the precious aharen from him kinda. I feel like she will be redeemed after realizing he's not bad and her arc will be learning to not keep aharen to herself so it's cool

She's cute. I like that her personality contrasts with her size to be honest but she definitely needs more development. I'd like for her to be friends with Raidou and accept that Aharen needs her to back off. Sort of find a middle ground between them.

I don’t like the type of these characters that much, they don’t get much development as far as I’ve seen, but I hope she gets some kind of development. I couldn’t think of anything else other than that she’s a little bit annoying.

She's annoying and was introduced too early. We didn't get to explore the dynamic between the two main characters for even 3 episodes before she was thrown in. Made my friend drop the show.

I’m caught up with the manga, her character does change a lot for the better and she does end up becoming much more of a likeable character.

If it follows the manga at all, the show will still focus a ton on the main characters, but it’s understandable because they skipped a few chapters before introducing her in order to speed the show along. I’d definitely stick to it, because the main character dynamic grows to be really great later on (well at least in my opinion, I’m sure someone will disagree)

In the manga you go like 7 chapters of just Raidou and Aharen-san messing around before the existence of any other characters is even acknowledged. At the very least, as long as the anime isn't just trying to speedrun all the character introductions, then it should turn out ok since most of the manga focuses on Raidou and Aharen.

i agree. i think the setting itself is nicely done. i enjoyed watching it but the character seems to be the steriotypical comedic relieve. didnt like her either. hope the joke density wont strike critical levels to try to make the audience laugh.

and here lies the problem, since the ending teases the camping chapter (I’m assuming your caught up) I am 100% willing to bet this will be extremely speedran

I really hope they don't go overboard with it, since the manga does a pretty good job of balancing the characters and it would be a shame for the adaptation to mess that up. Though the fact that they're going to try to reach the camping arc within a 12 episode series does have me a bit worried.

Hopefully they only tease it and wait until a second season, but something tells me they’ll rush it and make that the ending, even though it shouldn’t be the ending. Considering how they rushed the introduction of ooshiro we should assume the worst

I originally thought Aharen didn't have any friends due to her lack of boundaries, only to be introduced to a childhood friend. But the childhood friend doesn't act like a friend at all.

The author clearly thinks the shy giant is the funniest thing ever, but didn't give much thought as to how to implement her.

She is just simply unnecessary.I usullay dont like any side character in slice of life cuz the main characters are more than enough to bring the story for me.I felt the same in My Dress Up Darling.Luckily they get rid of those after a few episodes.So i only want Raido and Aharen-san,no other.
